So let me get this straight: You all were willing to shell tons on buying multiple PSPs with a very slight possibility of getting one of the Resurgence characters, yet when there's a guaranteed possibility of getting at least one of the new characters (all of which are of gold rarity) for the same price as a PSP, you complain? That makes no sense.

It's a mite annoying that I've bought two so far, and gotten Geth Plasma SMGs both times.  I can already tell that these are going to be the trolliest of packs.  I think people would have much preferred a pack that guaranteed a character-I know I would have, especially since my Victory Pack unlock was for one of the two Resurgence characters I already had.

That said, I know why Bioware didn't do that, and the fact that you get another rare in the pack is good.  Aside from the garbage SMGs, the packs had good stuff.  I just know I'm going to save up a bunch of credits and end up with Harpoon Gun VII by the end of this week.  Let's go whaling, y'all.

Yeh... just bought one myself, got 3 rares and 1 uncommon in it so that's pretty much equivalent to a PSP, tis just a shame the Resurgance one was the damn Kioshock. I'ma have fun attempting to get those last 2 characters but tis much better odds now than it was before so isn't all bad.

I just bought one and got myself a Krogan Battlemaster and Geth Engineer in the same pack. Both of which I did not have before. I still am missing the Batarian Soldier and the Geth Infiltrator, both the classes I wanted. But hey, it's 99,000 credits, you have a chance at the ultra-rares, plus at least one of the new characters. I really am baffled as to why people are complaining about this. I mainly do Silver, but sometimes do Gold here and there if I got a few friends around. Getting the credits for these packs are so easy, almost too easy. If you play it like a game, enjoy yourself, and have fun, the time getting the packs is fun. The pack will be there all week, just play the game and take a chance. Jeez.

I've opened one and got a Striker, a Batarian soldier and rocket capacity upgrade and some consumables. I'd personally say thats worth the 2 gold games or so it took to get the credits.

In terms of getting the new characters, between the bonus pack a few random spec packs and the one today I've got a Krogan Vanguard, the 2 Batarians and a level 2 striker. No farming required just a few games a day,

The fact that i've got every new character I didn't want and none of the ones I do is a seperate issue.

I have unlocked all the new characters over the last week or so apart from the two i want.. my victory pack was the Batarian Sentinel... giff me my damn Geth >.<

Seems reasonable to me. I for one am going to sink a lot of money into these packs, I've got the GPSGM at II, Kishock Harpoon Gun at II, Striker at I, and Geth Infiltrator. I wouldn't mind some guaranteed DLC stuff, and taking a chance at getting the Geth Engineer or Batarian Solder (although I certainly wouldn't mind getting the rest of the DLC classes) sounds worthwhile, as does taking the risk of getting more Striker and GPSMG upgrades. (I could care less about getting Kishock Harpoon Gun upgrades, and since that's the only thing out of the pack I don't really want, seems like a good investment.)

I'm not sure the old ones had any bonus.

I think they just had an "increased chance of ultra-rares" due to have 2 guarunteed rare slots. The PSP was something like this:

Consumable slot
Common consumable/EQ slot with a chance of an uncommon
same as above, with a better chance at an uncommon and a small chance at a rare

First resurgance pack had a Geth Infiltrator and a BW, so I'm not gonna complain.  I think I'll stop with the Resurgance packs when I unlock all the charachters, but I think they are a decent deal till then. Once you max all the Resurgance weapons your looking at 1/6 chance of any single charachter. Seems like decent odds compared to normal.

Once you unlock all the charachters you want and max all Resurgance weapons you want, I don't think the resurgance pack is that good a deal, but seems ok till then.

Definitely doesn't seem like a good deal overall. Still, I'll admit I bought one, hoping to finally unlock the Geth Engineer.

And I did. So I can stop buying Resurgence packs now.

Now the question is if I even want to buy any regular Spectre packs, or just save up until the Premium ones come around again...

Are you sure? It says it's guaranteed 1 Resurgence gold card.

My second resurgence pack had an N7. I don't know the % chance for ultrarares but it is possible. But it is very likely premium spectre packs have better odds, and spectre packs better odds/credit ratio for ultrarares.

Here's my deal:

About 1 hour ago, restarted game and noticed the packs were available. Went to the store and bought two of them with REAL money from my PSN wallet. Both times, after the purchase was completed, it went back to the store screen, checked for outstanding purchases, then a message of some sort flashed on-screen for about 1/2 second or less. I received NOTHING, yet the $6 had been removed from my account. Then, in my infinite stupidity/gullibility, attempted to purchase one more about 15 minutes ago, only to yield the same results.

And what's more, I just restarted my PS3 thinking if I restarted again, MAYBE it would fix the problem. Nope, nothing. The packs are also now removed from the store on PS3.

I just hate that I had to lose $9 to figure out there was something wrong with them. :\\

I got two weapon upgrades, still no Asari Justicar or Bartarian Sentinel. I don't see the difference from the Premium Specter pack were it was "Weighted" to have characters and weapons from the Resurgence Pack.

You have a chance to get an N7 weapon out of the Resurgence Pack

does that mean an ultra rare or a N7 rare?

Thanks for pointing that out, an ultra-rare. IE black widow, Javelin, Saber etc.

oh goodie.  cause i really really really want a black widow still.  i see so many people with black widow 3 or 5, and i don't have anything.  their n7 level was only 56, too. i mean i know the n7 doesn't neccessarily mean how much they play cause they might not be promoting, but you know what i mean.   i must have opened more than 200 psp and sp combined by now   *sigh*  well, at least i have every character and every gun maxed out other than the ultra rares.

People are saying there's a guaranteed chance of getting one of the new characters with the resurgence pack. This is false.

I just spent money on a resurgence pack. There was no new character. I got a new resurgence gun, that's it.

So you're taking your chances whether you go with the spectre pack or the new resurgence pack.
