Well, finally, an end to the lie that a vocal 'minority' are unhappy with the ending(s). Who cares how many "critics" gave it high ratings, especially since it's clear they're in bed with them.

Given such a glaring heads-up that there's a problem, you think BW/EA would have used this information to come up with a better response to the fan reaction. Another fail.

I don't know what's happening with that company, but 'artistic integrity' doesn't mean a whole lo to the company's bottom line. It'll take some effort to win this customer back. MHO

Mass Effect series has always been something of an exception to the
standard approach to video games. Unlike popular series such as Halo or
Gears of War, Mass Effect has always made the story, and your choices
within it, one of the core elements to the experience. The benefit is
that players have developed a much more emotional connection to the
story world. The downside is that when a story element - such as the
grand ending - falls flat, its reverberations can shake the very
foundation of the fanbase.

The article is actually really good. Impartial and somewhat neutral on its views, I would have given Bioware alot more flak for farking their own product and fanbase over but I liked how they expressed themselves.

That is where I think the real story to this whole saga lies. The
loudest complaint relating to the endings is: "My choices didn't
matter."

you got to figure, that the longer this game is out, the more people will be mad with the ending. there is going to be at least some people who at first are ok with it. but, after some time and thought, they'll start to really hate it. plus, those who already hate it will tell other people, who will probably refuse to play the game due to negative word of mouth responses (never underestimate the power of word of mouth advertising). seriously, bioware and EA, unless you give the fans what they want, you risk losing the one thing you truly care for: MONEY, and alot of it.

Interesting. I would agree with most of it and I think it is well written and fairly objective. And I don't hate the endings, I just think they were disappointing.

What!? Well, that goes against the whole 'we had no idea people would react this way' faux shock over the outrage that BW has supposedly suffered since the game dropped and general public got to the end.

I played the entire game, as I tend to be a completionist, and I hated the endings.

I thought the game was excellent, until the end.

Which sucked.

Really cause all my firends hated it.... exspecially the one who is a writing major.... I have not heard the end of it after I told him to play this great series.

I know about 6 people that have played it real world 20-40 years of age all think it is terrible . I am sure at this point Bioware has done there own study and I am willing to bet that 90 % think it is poorly done is an accurate figure IMO.

Obviously haven't watched THIS. This is pretty much the definitive video on why people who dislike the ending do so.

I, on the other hand hasn't found a single player in real life who liked it: I didn't like it, my brother didn't like it, and the guys who work at the gamestop where I bought it don't like it either.
