Who here loved Diana Allers and thought she added to the story?

There was no need for Allers in ME3; same goes for Vega in ME3 with me, though I like him far more than Allers.

We already had two reporters that would have served that role nicely, and weren't like listening to nails on a chalkboard. Kalisha Bint Sinan-Al-Jilani or Emily Wong would have filled that role nicely; especially Wong. Instead, we get a Twitter death for Wong and a one-off appearance (OH AND EMS POINTZ!!!11!!111) from Al-Jilani.

Oh, yeah, Chobot. What was the point of her in the game again? Most hated character in the game I believe, right after Catalyst and Kai-Leng.

Next playthrough I'm going to invite her to my ship insult her and throw her out again. That's the only thing she's good for in the game. At least I can take pleasure in knowing that she'll die horribly when the reapers arrive at the Citadel. Good riddance.

Kinda wish that a character like her who is on the Normandy would have atleast some significance story or have a story for herself. I mean, even though she's optional, it just kinda feels like she's there and doesn't bring anything to the table that we haven't already had in ME1.

I kinda don't know why she's even in the game, not saying Chobot is a bad person, but why have a new newsreporter when you can bring back 2 from Mass Effect.

Don't get me started on that character and a few others. :devil:

I brought her on the Normandy to just have more people. It is was a big mistake. I must have been indoctrinated. I would have rather had Kal Leng on my ship because at least he was talking trash to me.

She's the one and only thing I absolutely hate and cannot stand throughout the entire trilogy. What a useless waste of space. Also a waste of money, development time, and....did I say space yet?

And to think, Zaeed used to be in that room

Negative. In fact, there's a stronger case for her subtracting from the narrative than there is for her adding to it, since she took up a space on the Normandy that rightfully belonged to Emily Wong.

To give Jessica Chobot a cameo was a nice idea.

The execution on the other hand... :whistle:

I think she could have looked better in the game. You could recognize her, but it wasn't impressive.
In addition her contribution to the story could have been a little more than just that. How much did she add to the War Asset count? 10 points? 15 points?

But more sequences with her were probably too much trouble for Bioware. If they couldn't even show the other War Assets helping in the final battle, why would they put more effort into a nice gimmick like this?

Jessica Chobot was an awful idea.

I'm guessing Bioware thought it was fan service that would go over well, since Chobot is a very attractive woman. Unfortunately for Bioware the character modelled on her didn't translate well at all, and the voice acting was terrible.

I hated the inclusion of Allers. It felt like nothing more than shameless pandering to IGN. The conversations I had with her onboard were all but meaningless.

If Bioware had really decided to go down the "reporter-on-board" route, it should have been a straight-up choice between Al-Jilani and Emily Wong.

But no, Wong got Twittered to death and Chobot jumped in her shoes.

She does. People went to her quarter to complain about her. Fits her.

And no, I don't love Allers and she don't add to history. She SUBTRACTS. Emily Wong is subtracted to be precise.
