This is great, but she's only the community manager. She's quite notorious for being inaccurate, like half the things she says directly contradicts the games.

A video would be fantastic though, this entire thread is about finding proof rather than hearsay and yes even fan specuation from the community manager is hearsay.

No, he's correct.

But EDI living is not speculation. She actually can hop out of the Normandy in the destroy ending, and they have yet to officially declare whether that's a bug or whether she's supposed to be alive.

After PAX, they seemed to be leaning toward everybody living (even the geth) with a high EMS, but I guess the truth won't be known until the extended cut (assuming they even bother to clarify it; they could just leave it as it is so you can continue to imagine whatever the hell you want).

if you have read enough of her tweets you will see that she has contradicted herself a number of times.  I cant choose to believe all of them in that case

If you're looking for hard evidence (a cut scene or something), then there isn't one. Until the Extended Cut DLC comes out, no one will know for certain. It's all guesswork at this point.

I like to think that if your EMS is high enough and you pushed EDI into a relationship with Joker, then she does indeed survive, as even though she was made of based on Reaper tech her personal development through ME2 and ME3 have changed her core programming enough so she survives. Tacky and cheesy, I know, but I love that AI. My hopes on the Geth aren't too high, but I really hope they survive too. I don't think I could pick up the game after that if I knew EDI and the Geth couldn't survive.

I've read every tweet since March 11.  I've even spent a night re-reading them, looking for something out of place.  If you have proof, please post it.

I know alot of what she has said hasn't been popular (I've given her some of my own backlash), but proof or it's just wishful thinking.

Well why are people saying she survives when there's no evidence? Surely something this big would have evidence?

Making a claim but then providing no proof creates hearsay like this, I just don't understand why it's an accepted fact that EDI can survive the destroy ending when no one has any proof.

I think a large reason why the proof you want is scarce is because very view people who are dedicated enough to put videos of the game on Youtube don't have From Ashes installed. If you have From Ashes, then the non-LI squadmate who comes out of the Normandy is always Javik.

The way to obtain the proof you want, would be to:

1. Find a person who doesn't have From Ashes.
2. Get them to record their destroy ending, if they've already beaten the game, to see and record who comes out. This should take 10 minutes, since all they have to do is restart the "Citadel: The Return" mission.
3. If EDI comes out, post that video on Youtube so everyone sees it with a title saying "EDI Survives" so everyone can find it.
4. If EDI does not come out, do a second playthrough of the game where you always use EDI when she's available and act as nasty as possible to all other squadmates.
5. Pick destroy and record who comes out.

EDIT: I would volunteer to do this, but I have From Ashes.

Javik did not come out for me,  Liara was my LI and then Garrus came out.

You could technically ignore the subquest...cant you?  I'm not sure, myself, I've never tried.

Surely there should be some proof of this? There's no evidence of EDI surviving yet there are a lot of people claiming she does.

I like the logical fail on this topic. "I don't see youtube videos of EDI surviving the destroy ending therefore it's false"

That's like saying, "Osama bin Laden likes baseball, therefore baseball is bad."

I have From Ashes installed and I got Kaidan (LI) and Garrus with my Destroy ending, with high EMS (over 6000). (For Synthesis, same playthrough, I got EDI and Kaidan.) The choice of the second person in the Destroy ending seems to be kind of arbitrary for a lot of people - some get their most used squaddie, some always get Javik regardless and some have apparently just had random squaddies they've hardly used. So who knows, until EC? :/

I have yet to see anyone with any actual *proof* of EDI surviving Destroy though - no screenshots, vids, blurry photos of the TV, nothing.

I am dispelling his assertion that Javik will always come out with from ashes installed.  I do not need to remove my hard drive because his assertion was incorrect.  I am not trying to prove anything about EDI at this time.
