Good for you, but I personally like roleplaying many FemSheps. Some bi, some lesbian, some straight. I'd like to have a larger panel of possibilities.Y3Y00 wrote...
I never understood why you'd want multiple romances. I mean you're already fond of Garrus, isn't that enough? I only have one Shepard throughout the series, and one romance; Liara, if she was the only LI avaiable for my femshep, I'd be content, considering that for me, it's adequate. But you're probably different than I am, because the way I see it; you're betraying Garrus of you romance somebody else, not that it matters, because he's a fictional character, but I guess I developed fondness for the characters and mass effect universe. Geez I'm weird, sorry I mised the point of the thread.
Why are straight female Shepherd romance options so limited?

There's a lot of alignments and choices to make. Just because my canon's a vanguard paragade who goes for Garrus doesn't mean I can't have fun on a renegade soldier who has a thing for Kaidan, or a pure pure paragon sentinel who's all about Thane. I'm fond of the universe. I like puttering around in it and exploring many nooks and crannies as a few Shepards.

Replayability? Taking away straight femshep's choice severly limits replays of the game, especially with the ending the way they are. I'm a Garrus girl but I was going to go back and Thane to see how it was. But knowing that Thane dies AND how they barely mentioned his romance with femShep prevents me from doing that. Why torture myself?
I didn't like how the Jacob romance was handled in ME2, but it could have been corrected and another choice. What they did to him was utterly disappointing, crushing, stupid and borderline stereotypical. Was anyone at Bioware thinking about the possible implications by having Jacob cheat and have a girlfriend who knew the two of you were dating?
Kaiden died in a lot of my playthroughs so I wouldn't have consequencing to cheating, so I don't have him available. Samatha is cute, but her scenes were obviously for guys, and she didn't get what Cortez got. And I refuse to romance Liara out of protest.
So that leaves femShep with a derth of choices. It's Garrus for me or nothing, and that's only due to lack of choice. If I had Vega, Javick or anyone else, it would have extended the amount of times I played. Now it 's just once or twice all the way through.
And why is it that femShep is the only one who has a LI who dies or cheats? This wouldn't be so bad if it was across the board with broShep, but he keeps all his choices. It's mindboggling.

I also have no problem playing a Shepard with no romance at all, I play plenty of games that I enjoy without a lick of romance going on.
However, I also think variety is important, especially when it comes to a game with choices and does include a plot option such as romance. People have different tastes and people want to be creative in their head canon's for Shepard. Having a good selection of romantic choices makes the game more open and satisfying, even if what actually happens has little effect on the overall story.

Don't forget that you can only romance Garrus if you romanced him in ME2. So if Kaidan is dead in ME3 and you haven't got it on with Garrus, you have no options as a straight female.
Awesome.
Really??
That's kinda appalling.

I was so looking foward to my Thane import since I put a lot of heart into that particular shepard. Sure the ending was still going to be awful...but Thane's romance would help me get through it right? Welp, I was horrified. I had to stop playing that shepard because Thane's terrible treatment + knowledge of the awful ending made it impossible for me to keep playing. And here's the WORST PART I didn't run into Thane in my first playthrough! So assumed Kirrahe was going to step in front of kai leng again, good lord you should have seen my face.

Without getting too upset the Drell was in the late stages of his illness, lets give him a little break here. Plus he was important to the main story arc anyhow, and I hope you can all one day appericiate that BIoware let Thane die known as a hero to the Salarian people. I know that helped ease his passing into the next life. I still feel all of you, but remember for the male playthrough he was one of his closest friends, and you can tell by the look on his face how deeply it hurt him as well. Hope they make dlc to extend the time you have with Thane.

No, I would have liked to have gotten a strong alpha male with some brains, who is interesting and funny at times. Someone like Wrex.

This is why I support grabbing Javik and forcing him to SHAKE HANDS... I mean, be a romantic interest. No one leaves Shepard hanging. No one.
