*No more wave combat (obvious by now). It's one thing if more jump in just after some other enemies in an encounter turn hostile to surround you, but 2 sec after the battle initially started, I want to be able to zoom out and see exactly how many enemies there are that I need to beat.
*Make fewer, more powerful enemies. It's ok to increase the number of enemies in time as the story progresses and you grow stronger, but it always felt ridicilous how Hawke made mincemeat of legions of darkspawn in the beginning. I think I heard from some developer interview for SWTOR that they thought it felt "epic" when fighting enemies that vastly outnumber us, but please make us feel "weak" at the start of the game, so we feel a real sense of accomplishment as we progress.
*Make us able to flank enemies. Show areas where you should position yourself to backstab and the like, as in DA:O
*Make REALISTIC weapon animations, and make your enemies share those and your abilities. What made the over the top animations in DA2 even worse was how your enemies, in comparison, had pretty mundane weapon animations.
*Give at least the OPTION to have friendly fire NO MATTER WHAT DIFFICULTY SETTING you are currently using. If I want to play on easy with friendly fire, then please let me to that.
*Reduce the amount of AoD talents. I can understand if mages specialize in it, but otherwise I think that AOD talents should be pretty rare for the other classes.

*Diversify enemies. Killing forty one or two type enemies is really boring. It was well executed in the first game.
