If that is really how it works than thats kool^_^ I mean my account on here uses the same email I used to get onto my 360 profile account so im all set than. I really still think it was just all luck cuz if it wasn't than why din't they atleast send an email to EVERYONE?redteamsucks wrote...
yeah there is no EMAIL going out to anyone. Once logged in to EA on the actual game, be it PC, 360, or PS3, as long as your email matches the Social Site email you signed up with (i.e. the Micosoft Passport email you have to have to get a Live account) the game will auto sync with this site and you get your ring that way
Where is my damn ring?

Perhaps it wil take a while to send to everyone, like it took a while for characters to be uploaded last night. The servers are probably chocked full of stuff to send. Or so I'd like to think, because I really would like that ring.

Sorry but it wasn't clear. No need to be so snarky.redteamsucks wrote...
the theory of it taking awhile is bull. hate to burst the bubble. they don't go off of who signe up first, who just random emails. every email registered goes into a huge file, and they can just bulk email the entire list at once.<br />

You will get an e-mail about the ring. You've gotten the e-mail, right?H8Cr1me wrote...
There was supposed to be an email. I haven't gotten it. This is my soap box to ask why! If anyone has gotten an email let me know. What does it say? I have not gotten one...

(To the superhero above: I believe they were outlining the release date for the game, and well, you can't slip on the ring without the full game. This doesn't mean that they aren't going to confirm you meeting their requirements for getting the ring. Learn to think outside the box, hero!)amphigory wrote...
Um some people really do need to learn how to read!
As a little bonus we are also giving away an exclusive in-game item for those folks that upload their newly generated character into BioWare’s new community platform: BioWare Social Network. Upload your character and come Nov 3 Get ready to slip on The Lucky Stone
Do you notice what I have bolded and underlined? The rings are being given out at the beginning of November!
Next time, read the information!
Some people have reported getting an email after uploading their character, thus confirming their eligibility to recieve the ring. I have not gotten the email so I was concerned. I decided to post this thread, demanding satisfaction (playfully of course), essentially asking: what gives?
So everybody, including this lame retard above, can put away their supersuits. Bioware is not going to give you a pat on the head for coming to their rescue. I am not complaining about any injustice. I know I'll get the ring! I can read!
With this many people having uploaded a character and not getting an email, leads me to believe that they will just have it available by signing into your EA account when you get the game.

You should be able to link your live account to this account. The social network login is essentially an EA account, and there is a mechanism to link EA accounts to live accounts.

=/ That's not good at all.
My xbox live account uses a different email than my bioware account's email.
I guess I'll have to make a new bioware account. =(
Not at all. When you opt to log into the DA servers from within 360/PS3 you are provided a standard login prompt with email/password fields that you can select - just select those fields and use the console keyboard screen that pops up to enter the same email/pwd you use to login to Social (what you uploaded with).
It does not have to be the same email you use for your Live/PSNetwork account.
ALSO - FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS NOT RECEIVED AN EMAIL:
There is definitely some delay in sending out emails, but a minor item to point out - in order for us to send an email out to you, you will need to have ticked the box during your account creation to allow us to send you info/emails!
If you created your account within C.Creator this should say something like 'Get newsletter/info from BioWare' or 'Get newsletter/info from EA'.
HOWEVER - you do not need to have received that email to get your item, as this is unlocked by a separate process... it just means you won't get confirmation of getting the item.
In general, if you were able to upload your character - as in, it shows up here on social - you should be good to go. You'll just have to be patient to find out for sure. :innocent:
