2) I really didn't care for Hawke's mansion at all. I would have preferred the Hanged Man with the occasional random event........a tavern brawl
3) Item descriptions. I actually bought the item/armor packs because I missed the descriptions!
4) The reeused environments. I know most games have them but it was just so obvious in DA:2. You don't even have to make new ones...just reskin them. I know in Sebs quest...the environment was reskinned right? It looked FANTATSIC!
5) Skills A less over the top rogue would be greatly appreciated. I would love to see coercion/persuade return and trap making

I'd also like to add the Exalted March expansion. DA2 feels like it's missing an "act 4", and we'll never see it now.
Having stealth as a sustained talent was also missed. I enjoyed scouting ahead for traps and other danger in Origins, and hated that traps in DA2 would often pop up in the middle of combat, where I'd have to put everyone on hold and have the rogue come under fire as they disarmed them, and stealth was reduced to yet another hate-shed tool for rogues. This took the "scout" role away from rogues.

I'm one of those people that gets into an RPG and instantly steals everything that isn't nailed down, so it *really* annoyed me to have the "stealing" ability disappear.
That minor gripe aside:
All the cut specializations. ( Arcane Warrior, Shapeshifter, Bard, Ranger, etc. )
Swords on Rogues.... Seriously, not having this was *really* annoying....
The loss of tactical camera was horrible.
Losing the camp, was equally horrible. Though i wasn't a fan of camp to start with, Dragon Age II did poorly to replace it.
The sudden loss of Dwarven Wenches was a pretty... bizarre thing.

Female dwarfs random disappearance irked me as well. I'd have liked to see more on the dwarfs and elves in general actually. Between not getting to see a dwarvern city (The deep roads without orzimmar was a lot more tedious to trek through) and the small stagnant dalish encampment that we never went to very often I felt like the other races did not get the attention they deserved. The Qunari were handled well, but without a party member to represent them I felt no real personal connection to their race.
Just being able to speak to your companions frequently and when you wanted to was a small thing, but something that I really missed. I don't want a letter saying "Merrilll can speak to you now for one minute" when I could have long coversarions with Lelliana or Alistair at the camp whenever I wanted in Origins.

- Item descriptions - eh not a huge issue for me, but i can see how others would miss it
- Item pictures - see above
- Persuasion skill - definitly prefer the personality choices better, i hate percentage based skills like that cause even at 90% you still have a possibility os lose'n, it's super dumb
- Party camp - not sumth'n i missed, i liked visiting other peoples locales and have'n my own place, i do miss the option to simply communicate with my companions while walking around and i'd prefer the ability to custumize or build upon my home residance (though the interactive comment items were a nice touch)
- Using your fists in combat - unless they make a bare handed combat style this is incredibly pointless
- Having warriors use bows, rogues use 2-handers, etc. - defeats the purpose of a class system
- Murder knife - as noted by pretty much everyone, it was in DA2
- Origins - kinda miss it? not really a huge loss to me
- Female Dwarves - wouldn't want to tap one, but i'd say this is probably the only thing on this list i'd agree with, if only cause interacting with just small hairy dudes gets pretty old fast
Not the best examples you could've gone with, but still; as for my own i'd say the companion interactions whenever i wanted is probably my most missed cut, followed with the on the fly weapon swapping option(why was this even removed?) and gear (or accesory) management for the entire group (again; why was this removed??)

I also missed female dwarves, I mean, where did they all go?
Random, but the alienage seemed really small too. While it was obvious in DAO where the human area of Denerim stopped and the alienage began, it wasn't too clear in DA2.
I didn't actually miss the party camp. I wasn't impressed with how the characters were all stood around doing nothing at the camp, instead of cooking, tending to their weapons, mixing up potions, or whatever. At least in DA2 the fact they were in separate places made that less obvious.

Because auto-success and auto-failure make for a compelling RPG elements?

Never been trained for close quarters combat, have you?
- Having warriors use bows, rogues use 2-handers, etc. - defeats the purpose of a class system
For my next history class, I will make the statement, "warriors don't use bows" and we'll see how well that goes...

Instead I got something else. Something I do not only not like, but something that I also do not have much respect or regard for. ...To put it as politely as I can.

So you're use'n real life examples for a video game? really? reeeeaaaaaly that what you're going with? the last two are utterly ridiculous comparisons so i'm not even going to bother with that, as for the 1st one that's actually in the context of video games: yes fallout new vegas actully implimented that very thing very well without relying on percentages, imagine that~!

A lot of the gear looked just bad to me. I liked the stuff in Origins a bit more than what we got for DA2. I do like the stuff that was added later (but the weapons were way oversized, etc.) I always use Alonday weapons for DA:O because they look real to me vs the huge Japanime weapons. The Warden armor was very nice, I would love to see more like that.
Companion interaction was different, making it seem like less at times while it was most likely actually more. You just could not talk to them except at certain times.
DA 2 felt way more rail roaded to me. I know that every game is very linear, but it seemed forced upon me more with DA2 than in DA:O. (Bethany and the templars taking her as I just say okay is a major issue for me).

- Meaningful character creator: No choice of race or origin story.
- Loss of class diversity: Specifically warriors losing the ability to dual wield or use bows.
- Party Camp: Central gathering point for companions and the ability to talk to those companions whenever you like, rather than being railroaded into having this conversation in this act and this in that act.
- Customisable companion equipment: I spent ages in Origins gearing my companions up, making sure their gear fit with their builds, giving them gear that was 'lore relevant' to that character, e.g. Alistair always gets Cailain's set and Maric's Arms.
- Skills: Just removed a very significant part of the game. Coercion was great, Poison Making + Herbalism became actually very important on higher difficulties (Bombs + Potent Lyrium Potion Crafting)
- Tactical Camera: Lack of one. This was especially bad considering how terrible the aoe targeting system was.
- Item Descriptions: Added flavour to the game, I can't even think of a reason to remove them other than time restraints.
