Dude, it is totally Alpha Centauri. Everyone knows that Alpha Centauri is where your ships go when you escape Earth in a space travel victory.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought Alpha Centauri was a star and not a planet ?Image IPB

It wasn't a planet. It was a moon orbiting a gas giant. And its most likely uncharted and uninhabited. So... will Joker be the Gilligan?

They didn't. In several movies (The Big Blue, The Piano, El laberinto del fauno [yes, I watch it only in Spanish]), the people saw their version of peace/heaven/absolution, but they were dead. None of what they saw happened.

Shepard saw Joker fleeing and saw survivors on the planet (except if you have something like 1086 EMS -- then the door simply opens ajar before the credits), but he was dead (or dying in the high EMS destroy option).

If it is not yet obvious, this is just made up (except for the fact that those three movies did just that).

the same jungle planet design used for all jungle planets in ME2. The same design for the blue suns planet, same design for jacobs dad's planet, and some other random missions.

Jungle, 2 moons, ta da.

Or maybe it was Eden... prime.

The nearest Mass Effect Relay was destroyed, and Normandy was fighting above Earth.

Earth doesn't have two moons.

Didn't you hear what Jessica Merizan said? The second moon is actually MARS!

My guess would be the Manswell Expedition world in the Alpha Centauri system. We know it can support human life, as it has a 'lost' colony. It's also the only world I'm aware of mention that's within easy FTL distance of earth, less than half a day for the Normandy, I believe.

It would be about 8 hours, which doesn't fit with the timeline of the ending at all.  There was no way Shepard was unconscious for 8 hours, because the ground forces are only just starting to fall back when Shepard wakes up.

Basically, there is no way the Normandy was in FTL at the end, since there are no planets close enough.  But it also doesn't make sense for them to be fleeing through the relay.  One, the relays are supposed to be virtually instant, which it clearly wasn't at the end.  Two, what was the Normandy running from?  The impending Relays explosions?  Great, let's escape the exploding relays by running through a relay! sarcasm

So the Normandy couldn't be in FTL, and it also doesn't make sense for it to be in the relay network...so there is no way it actually happened.  Someone clearly didn't put enough thought into this.

I stand by my assertion that the only possible solution for this scene is to kill it with fire.

It would only somehow make sense if Normandy went to another another part of the galaxy before Shep activated Crucible (for some reason, IDK, Hackett orders Joker to do something somewhere). Which of course we never see or hear happening so the Normandy part in the current ending makes absolutely no sense

Ye those moons and flora kinda match with jacobs loyalty quest planet. Though it would be kinda randomizer to crash there, which fits the whole ending so must be that.

They also match the planet from Zaeed's loyalty mission, the planet from Overlord and probably a couple more. It's just a standard template for garden worlds Bioware used in ME games
