There'[s just something about her. I hate her voice, and her 'vision', and how she's got this annoying chantry vs bard thing going on, but doesn't really show much of either in her personality.

Grr, I wish she were dead. I'm glad I was a rogue this time ;)

No, because I like some other Orlesian characters. She just annoys me.

How many orlesian characters did we encounter anyway?

I can only recall Leliana and Marjolaine and both had a somewhat similar personality.

But at least Morrigan is quite humorous. I love her conversations with Sten and Alistair, though she annoys me at the end.

No, you are not. She is good for laughs though. I really laughed seeing her throwing a fit at a certain point of the game. Her last, as I recall.

She ranks a tad higher than Sten and quite a bit above Morrigan. Wish I could leave the witch behind in Lothering as well ^_^ That is where my adventures with Leliana usually end, by the way.

er, what?  Doesn't show much of either?  We're talking about Leliana right?  I guess you haven't progressed far on any of the implied playthroughs you have?   Wait, that can't be right either, since her devotion to the Maker, and mercy are clearly evident from the very first time you actually talk to her.  At other points in the game, it becomes even more apparent, but this is in the non-spoiler section.

Grr, I wish she were dead. I'm glad I was a rogue this time ;)

You can tell her to leave.

Yes, you can see the devotion to the maker, but she does disagree with the chantry about loads of things. So she's not THAT religious-y, and though she can fight, she's really not at all bad-ass. So in the end I find her kind of... bland.

She's actually one of my favorites. One of the more interesting back-stories, nice and believable personality, I actually like her voice over as it's both unique yet average at the same time (I like that little lisp she has, adds to her character when you take things into consideration). The "vision" get's an interesting discussion at a certain part of the game which is also interesting as it kind of shows a side and brought out a point I didn't really consider before. Don't know, something about just perks my interest more then the others.

Oddly I found myself liking all the characters in this game, which is odd because in all Bioware games there were at least a couple I absolutely hated.

I don't know how close to liking all of them I am, but for me, I find I can respect them for what they are portrayed to be.  An important thing to note is that while she did affirm her belief in the Maker, she never took vows, so she's not a preacher.  However, that the Chantry's teachings have overcome some of her earlier influences is apparent during one particular plot moment, and in conversations.

I love her, she's a great character. Not to mention a great singer, plus she's bi-sexual, which is a plus, heh.

Yes, you're the only person to find Leliana annoying!

*Puts on top hat*

Change places!

I agree, while I vehemently hate a certain character I find that I can respect them as real people even if I find them to be complete hypocrites, which just shows how good a job they did in creating characters that can create a response.

This is the case with me as well. I was surprised that there wasn't at least one companion in the game that I didn't like.

and though she can fight, she's really not at all bad-ass. So in the end I find her kind of... bland.

That's part of the reason I liked her. In her past she preferred employing "other" methods rather then outright fighting. It's good to see a female character actually acknowledge, embrace, and use her feminine side rather then the usual "yeah I'm a bad-ass woman so what, now *bleep* me before I cut your balls off". That came out a little more awkward then I wanted to but you get my point I think. Basically it's nice to see a female character that while isn't afraid to get dirty and bloody also shows her feminine side so to speak outside of the romance aspect.

I don't know how close to liking all of them I am, but for me, I find I

That's essentially what I meant. Usually I hated characters simply because they were either far to stereotypical or bland, and there are always a few in Bioware games. Here they just feel more, real and interesting. Now if this was reality there are quite a few I certainly wouldn't associate myself with. But as characters, I must say I enjoy them all.

I have found them to be believable, within the scope of the game world, and within the scope of what we can find out about their origins. They are products of their "upbringings", and it shows. I find that the NPC development, not just within the party, but also the key figures is outstanding, and sometimes even thought provoking.

I think she is just splendid. Particularly like her habit of shouting "Brilliant" before everyone charges into nearly certain doom. Enthusiasm like that makes me smile.

Disagree. The badass women in fantasy quite often use their femininity to get what they want. Anora, for example, though she may not fight, but she has alot of power, and is described as using her big eyes to get whatever she wants :)

Bleh. I don't hate the french. ("TEA-GOOOOOON!") I hate protestants. Leli's protestant vibe annoys me. =P

That being said... I still <3 Leli. Having played through multiple playthrus... she's the only character that doesn't do something to hurt my PC. =D
