There'[s just something about her. I hate her voice, and her 'vision', and how she's got this annoying chantry vs bard thing going on, but doesn't really show much of either in her personality.

Grr, I wish she were dead. I'm glad I was a rogue this time ;)

I liked her character actually. Her attitude seemed to reflect my first character's the most. Do good things for the sake of being good and keep trying improving yourself as a person no matter what negative outlooks other might try to weigh you down with. Don't get mad and sulk about how things could have been or how others might have it better than you...simply get up, smile, and move on. I admire characters like that.

This.

She was a breath of fresh air from all the whine: Alistair's whine about a certain thing, Morrigan's incessant disapproval on helping people, Wynne's constant preaching on your love affairs.

Leliana was the only one who tried to take your mind off of things.

At first, I did find her a bit flaky, but after getting to know more about her... she's a beautiful, caring and decent character who appreciates the finer things in life and has a damaged past which doesn't stop her from trying to make a difference. I'm an atheist and her talks about religion didn't bother me at all. I particularly liked her compassionate, individualistic approach, not like some of the bigoted and fearful Chantry folk. Leliana's devious giggle is rather endearing, and I love her soft accent. It was difficult picking between her and Alistair. Oh, well. On my next playthrough, I'll stick with her.

Wait, was this a "hate" thread? Image IPB

Less irritating and more disturbing.

She seems like the type who would kill you and herself if you ever left her.

No, you're not the only one. I hate her too, but then again I hate french too. She's way too girly for me and I never found her useful. Zev is much better than her - both in combat and in personality.

Too bad the assassin doesn't know how to pick a lock or disarm a trap, eh?  :(

So what? I always can respec Zev if I want to and I refuse to use "that girl" just because sometimes she can pick a lock.

I fins Leliana very attractive. That accent is spot on- the voice actor does her well.

Now, as a party member? I keep her around to pick locks. No matter what armor she's in, she's made of paper, and the armors all make her look extremly ugly, from the neck down. Ugh, especially that dwarven armor I put her in. Bowlegged skinny stick legs.

Yes, you can see the devotion to the maker, but she does disagree with the chantry about loads of things. So she's not THAT religious-y...

Oh, so you can't be "that" religious if you have disagreements with some organized religious body?

makinthemost wrote...
...and though she can fight, she's really not at all bad-ass. So in the end I find her kind of... bland.

No one in your group is badass. If that's your standard, there's no reason to single Leliana out.

Ah another Morrigan slave I see, once Morrigan has finished with you she will summon her own god and then you'll have Churches instead of Chantries everywhere.  Or mosques, I forget which one she is.

Only joking. :P

Really?  Is this to do with if you...wait can't ask this in a general discussion forum, bugger, argh no way to ask without using spoilers argh!  Hang on lets see...

If you make the choice that results in a certain outlook being appreciated then does that mean she won't whereas if you keep the outlook then she will?

I liked Leliana. I tried to incorporate her in my party makeups most of the time but to be honest, she is so damn weak.

This.  On my first playthrough when I first met her I didn't like her much "cracked in the head".  But I kept her in my group for lockpicking and traps and she grew on me.  She's sweet and kind, ditzy when it doesn't matter, but capable of taking care of business when necessary.  And she has a delightful giggle.  Hadn't intended to romance her, but wound up doing so.

She's a bit nuts, but it's a very sweet, harmless nuts.

The dex hotfix improves her quite a bit, and she becomes pretty powerful lategame, btw.

I thought she was cute and probably someone I'd like to have as a friend. She has a lot of stories to tell and worldly experience.

However...some of the starting romance stuff made me feel a little creeped out. Like the line about watching me sleep and fluttering eyelashes. I get the sense that she'd be "the crazy ex".
