Am I the only one that finds Leliana SO irritating?

Oddly I found myself liking all the characters in this game, which is odd because in all Bioware games there were at least a couple I absolutely hated.
This is the case with me as well. I was surprised that there wasn't at least one companion in the game that I didn't like.
I am the strong silent one damnit!

But when she starts proselytizing is when I want her to STFU.

Isolde is Orlesian as well.
Also, Queen Anora's maid is culturally Orlesian (she has a French accent) though her ethnic background is Elven.

I really fell in love with Leliana, she's quite charming. And a tad crazy of course, but I'd never want a sane friend. Of course I found myself in a totally unintended F/F romance all of sudden and enjoyed it (by accident I romanced Alistair too, damn innuendo dialogue options... had to break his heart soon after). Also, she's a wonderful sidekick, both in personality as in skill. I don't know what you people do with her who complain about Leliana constantly dying or doing no damage - in my party she was usually the opposite, one of the main damage dealers and quite often the last survivor who saved the other's skins. I went the whole dual wield road with her and eventually gave her the duelist specialization on my 2nd run through, and she remained a tough little one while my tanks usually never lasted long. She's excellent for a rogue/rogue team where always one of two flanks.

stop preaching to me me girl, you are the one tagging along.
i only have her in the team because i have built her as an awesome archer and can't bear to part with her usefulness during fights. I try to ignore her conversation attempts though

Less irritating and more disturbing.
She seems like the type who would kill you and herself if you ever left her.
Just try breaking up with her. I dare you.

I just wanted to pat her on the head and say "that's nice, dear" - it
was a little silly, and felt like a guy wrote an exaggeration of a
girly-girl.
Hehe, you've never been around a woman who has a shoe fettish have you.
You mean not all girls are obsessed with shoes? I must have been dating the wrong ones.

Leliana is really what you make her. She convinced herself that her place was in the nunnery after her mentor and lover betrayed her. You can encourage her newfound piety and wide-eyed "Maker guide me!" outlook, or you can tell her to get over her past, get off her ass and embrace the fact that she's meant to be a fun, bisexual and adventurous spy girl. The choice is really yours...

My wife used to be an Alistair fan as well, but then she turned bi again when *spoiler* he dumped her character. Last 3 Bioware games, the wifey was bi *sigh*. Now she likes Leliana too. If she was real I would have a 3some on my hands!

This time I had her for Lothering but that was it. Can't stand her either. Accent, her beliefs. Yuck. Much rather have Zevran.
