Big difference between religious and faithful...

That big difference isn't much of a response to anything.

Oddly I found myself liking all the characters in this game, which is odd because in all Bioware games there were at least a couple I absolutely hated.

This is the case with me as well. I was surprised that there wasn't at least one companion in the game that I didn't like.

I don't like Sten.

I am the strong silent one damnit! :o

Shes ok. Only thing that makes me annoyed is her in combat. She sounds so confident in her skills yet shes usually the first to die. The repeating "maker's " does get tiresome aswell.

She has her moments where I like her, especially when she speaks about her time as a bard/assassin/seductress. She's even cute when she is being naive or going on about the beauty of the world.

But when she starts proselytizing is when I want her to STFU.

Isolde is Orlesian as well.

Also, Queen Anora's maid is culturally Orlesian (she has a French accent) though her ethnic background is Elven.

I really fell in love with Leliana, she's quite charming. And a tad crazy of course, but I'd never want a sane friend. Of course I found myself in a totally unintended F/F romance all of sudden and enjoyed it (by accident I romanced Alistair too, damn innuendo dialogue options... had to break his heart soon after). Also, she's a wonderful sidekick, both in personality as in skill. I don't know what you people do with her who complain about Leliana constantly dying or doing no damage - in my party she was usually the opposite, one of the main damage dealers and quite often the last survivor who saved the other's skins. I went the whole dual wield road with her and eventually gave her the duelist specialization on my 2nd run through, and she remained a tough little one while my tanks usually never lasted long. She's excellent for a rogue/rogue team where always one of two flanks.

I haven't gotten her yet I don't think but so far the characters have been pretty good. Except for when Sten tried to kill me and take over the party but I defeated him very quicky seeing as I am a mage and froze him in place while attacking him with everything I had. He was my favoriate too. : (

I like her cute part but her religious buttnuggery gets quite irritating at times.

stop preaching to me me girl, you are the one tagging along.

i only have her in the team because i have built her as an awesome archer and can't bear to part with her usefulness during fights. I try to ignore her conversation attempts though

Lelianna is oh so cute. All i want for a DLC is to go visit her hometown. Just me and her. She could tell me stories and watch me sleep.

Less irritating and more disturbing.

She seems like the type who would kill you and herself if you ever left her.

Just try breaking up with her. I dare you.

I just wanted to pat her on the head and say "that's nice, dear" - it
was a little silly, and felt like a guy wrote an exaggeration of a
girly-girl.

Hehe, you've never been around a woman who has a shoe fettish have you.

You mean not all girls are obsessed with shoes? I must have been dating the wrong ones.

I don't really like Leliana either, she irks me. She's somewhat better than Wynne though, I just can't seem to get an attachment to Wynne. Maybe it's something about religious like peoples :)

Wynne isn't particularly religious. Her banter with Leli makes that pretty clear.

She annoyed me early on, until I dealt with Majorlaine and had a heart-to-heart with Leiliana afterwards.

Leliana is really what you make her. She convinced herself that her place was in the nunnery after her mentor and lover betrayed her. You can encourage her newfound piety and wide-eyed "Maker guide me!" outlook, or you can tell her to get over her past, get off her ass and embrace the fact that she's meant to be a fun, bisexual and adventurous spy girl. The choice is really yours...

Only thing I found irritating was her religious piety, or her 'oooo shoooes!' in typical teeny girl fashion. Either then that, she's fine, and I prefer her over Morrigan.

My wife used to be an Alistair fan as well, but then she turned bi again when *spoiler* he dumped her character. Last 3 Bioware games, the wifey was bi *sigh*. Now she likes Leliana too. If she was real I would have a 3some on my hands!

I'm on my second playthrough. On my first, I didn't even bother selecting her.

This time I had her for Lothering but that was it. Can't stand her either. Accent, her beliefs. Yuck. Much rather have Zevran.

HAHA! I feel your wife's pain. Alistair was my Hephaestus until he dumped my lil city elf hottie. That's done a subsequent 180 on my personal opinion of him for all future playthrus. I know it's metagaming, but I can't help it.

I will always <3 Leli in all my future playthrus. She never makes love hurt. =D

As I'm one of those girls who isn't into shoes or shopping, Leli annoyed me sometimes, but I found myself liking her overall. Plus I've always liked the Jeanne d'Arc story.

Don't hate her, but she is kinda bland and the shoes and shopping-girly stuff is overdone and annoying. When are they going to make an intellectual-style bookworm girl with sarcastic wit for you to romance? That would be my personal favourite...

Now that you mention it, I did really like Bastila. Still, was she really that intellectually inclined? She struck me more as a Princess Leia-style "good girl with a cool sense of humor" sort of number...
