Am I the only one that finds Leliana SO irritating?

I fins Leliana very attractive. That accent is spot on- the voice actor does her well.
Now, as a party member? I keep her around to pick locks. No matter what armor she's in, she's made of paper, and the armors all make her look extremly ugly, from the neck down. Ugh, especially that dwarven armor I put her in. Bowlegged skinny stick legs.
That's because the voice actress Corinne Kempa is French - therefore she has a good idea of the accent methinks
I had actually planned on romancing Morigan on my first playthrough--but Leilana's voice sucked me right in and ended up romancing her.

What I do find annoying is her battle cries: they all invoke the Maker, and you hear them it seems like every 5 seconds if you include her in your party regularly (which I do, because properly built she kicks butt and takes names).
And I think that if you 'harden' her, she should become less 'religious'. Note that I don't say give up her religion, but become a little more practical, hard-headed, realistic. She doesn't; there's next to no difference after hardening her - unlike Alistair. I don't want her to be 'bad', I generally play a goody-two-shoes character myself, or at least a neutral one, so that isn't the problem. Wynne is really 'good' and preachy too, and doesn't bug me as much.
I suppose it's the dichotomy that bothers me and seems a bit hypocritical. An assassin and seductress who preaches to me and others about the Maker and what is good or right just seems wrong. If she really was a Sister from the Chantry it would fit better. As an 'unhardened' Leliana it still works, because she's found a new 'vocation' if you will. A new, reformed, religous person. But if you harden her - she's not quite right.
I certainly don't hate her though. And she's incredibly useful. Her character 'gels' in many ways and is certainly complex and interesting. I just have a little quibble with 'hardened' Leli.
This is far less, however, than I've ever come across in a computer game before. One character in my party who I find just a little off if I make one particular choice. Truly amazing.

<facepalm>
I would suggest you look up the word "racist" first before using it in a context you seem not to understand. Killing Leliana because of religion is not "racist". Killing her because she was Orlesian or white would be.
Depending on the nature of character you play and their background, killing a Chantry believer wouldn't be shallow or stupid, either.

It is ALLWAYS shallow and stupid to kill another human being just because he doesn't believe the same as you.
With that said, Leliana is my personal spy. We "write" beautiful "diaries" together. And she really is devout. I have her calling the Maker every night.

I am so glad you asked, because I do find Leliana irritating. She is nice but creepy and her facial expressions weird me out. I am a rogue in many of my play throughs because I like to open chests but I hate having her with me until Zevran comes along.
I would like to congratulate whoever is responsible for the authentic female group dynamic. I want to slap Morrigan, have a nice cup of tea with Wynne and sleep with one eye open when Leliana the Chucky doll is around.
I choked on my coffee.
I love Wynne too! We would be curled up on the couch with snuggies playing rummy together.
And I sort of see where you're coming from with the creepy Leliana bit, as I have played a male romancing her before and was a little freaked out at the eyelash comment. But I still like her.

After several play throughs I finally added Sten to the party, and kept him all the way to the end. I even raised his approval raiting to max. Yet I really can't stand the character. In my most recent play throughs, I've left him to die in Lothering.
Zevran is the character I absolutely hate.
I really enjoyed Morrigan, probably the most. I'm a big fan of Wynn, and Alistar is great for laughs. I disliked Shale until I got her full story. The dog is great for laughs, but he shouldn't have been a full party member. The dog should have been to the main player, what the wolves, spider, and bear are to the ranger.

I find it irritating that she insists on falling for all of my PCs, even after I've very carefully steered her down the friend path.
Interesting since alot of people had alot of problem getting her romance going. You had to pic very specific dialog choices to get it working. Did they change it?

I don't know what I'm doing...I avoid the hair compliment, let's travel together, forbidden fruit, etc, responses, tell her 'friend' every time I can, and she still winds up getting romance-y at some point during the game. Apparently I need to actually be mean to her.

There'[s just something about her. I hate her voice, and her 'vision', and how she's got this annoying chantry vs bard thing going on, but doesn't really show much of either in her personality.
Grr, I wish she were dead. I'm glad I was a rogue this time
no my cousin can't stand her!!! I don't find her annoying b/c I take the good side but b/c of that I find Morrigan to be the most annoying person in the world. Saving babies from a fire would even annoy her & give you -approval!
Morrigan is probably worse when it comes to forcing beliefs on people then Leliana. ( I like both of them though)
As do but both of them can have their annoying moments. I like Morrigan more when I'm not making a mjor decision just travel conversation.
