** I remember watching a particular interview with one guy and he talked about the Circle library in DA:O. He mentioned how there were 30000 books and probably no one noticed. So they cut out all such details to save time and effort in DAII. A lot of us were absolutely incredulous over that. That library was an awesome area. And yes, I noticed the damn books.
That was marketing, David Silverman. He also said next that all those lil details took away from the action. How did they take away from the action if no one noticed it? I'll never understand half the things said marketing DA2.
I still have the link if anyone wants the seeing is believing...

Oh, my god <holds side> that statement is just too funny.
I have to say one thing I love about Skyrim is the developer behind the scenes, Todd Howard. He tries to make sure he puts every detail into the game as much as possible, this way the world feels more alive. From the clutter lying around someone’s house to the moss growing up on a high mountain over hang. Yet by doing this, it does not take away anything from combat.
I hear the Dragon Age team is looking closely at Skyrim for Dragon Age 3. Perhaps the developers should sit down with Mr. Howard they might learn something.Your building a world, you need as much detail in that world as possible. If not it makes the player feel less immersed in that world. Compared to the detail from Origins to Dragon Age 2, I don't have to think why I felt so detached to the environment.
Amen to that! ... So long as they don't hit him with the ugly stick!
If the coffee pot is near empty at BW they might bring Cullen back for d3 as a companion/Li....Infused with the spirit of Justice. That would be some...irony and many filled coffee pots.
Do you reckon the rotting corpse of Anders will show up in DA3 with Justice still mincing around in it, if people killed him off at the end of DA2... Not that I killed him, but it would be fun if that did happen lol.
