Did you buy the DLC Revealer add-on for $10? You had to get that first.ticklefist wrote...

2. Is further insulted by big, cheesy stock art image with awful grandfather - boy dialogue.
3. Buy more!
Yeah, sure....

What about a memorial for Shep... He's saved the bloody universe after all. Star travel hasn't ceased, it's just got slowed down.
I did realised why the gates had to blow up though... passing that much energy through them to affect other systems (to affect the Reapers all through the Galaxy) but didn't know why they didn't kill the system they were in... Controlled inverse detonation maybe? Instead of the the energy destroying the system it gets pumped to the next gate instead to maintain the propagation of the effect.
But all this got stomped on by the lack of explanation... and then that screen at the end just made you want to throw the controller at the TV lol.

I bet even if the ending was good, this would still be a joke among players. They should have never directly said buy some dlc, its tacky to say the least.
Yup. Even if the ending had been good this still would have grated with me. Just maybe not as much.

I don't know about Shepard, but Bioware and Mass effect will become legends because of the ending ****storm. And maybe also for lazy work like tali's face.

They did the exact same thing in DA:O.
Um, no they didn't? At least, as far as I can tell you got that sort of message when you load up a "Post-Campaign" save but not when you're actually getting the ending.
Well, the final epilogue slide gives you a "there's more stories to tell" sort of thing, but nothing equivalent to the blatant DLC advertisement.

Also the fact that before his/her 'sacrifice' when faced with the creator and controller of the enemy you had spent over 100 hours trying to defeat, Shepard who had questioned and confronted Saren, The Illusive Man, Harbinger and others with an undying beliefs in unity and self determination, who had faced impossible odds and won said his/her grand final words to the perpetrator of the largest amount of indiscriminate genocide possible, and those defiant heroic words were, "I... don't know"
"I... don't know"
pathetic
