Really great info. I never really thought about it but it seems the the only class who would benefit from APmod on these are the GI. I have succesfully sniped through walls with this setup. On all other classes its a waste of a mod slot.


Which is why at first I didn't bother with posting the numbers, but I was mistaken - and now hopefully more people can see these numbers and optimize their gear and hopefully make the game a little easier on themselves.

No problem bro, It's not that the math is very difficult - its just a lot of repettitive calculations. But I am glad that so many people have found a use for this info.

Updated for april 24th patch changes. The hurricane is now almost exactly = to a mattock in damage per round, but with a 72 round mag (104 rounds if heat sink hits every time.) and a MUCH higher ROF - this is now probably the king of all fully auto weapons.

I stated in that long ass preamble - that I only put the damage stats here to show the differences in damage between the two, leaving it up to the player to decide if the utility of cover/enemy piercing is worth the potential decrease in damage efficiency.

Ah, I wasn't aware of that. Thats still somewhere around sixty bullets fired before reload, 6k damage per clip if you hit most of your heat sinks dice throws. No wonder I was burning through ammo so fast in marksman mode.

It's still a smart move to use AP mod on the fex, since I roll random enemies I have to have AP on my pistol incase I get derperus. But if you have a pretty large supply of warp or AP ammo then take the EB all day long.

I feel pretty limited when I don't have at least one gone with AP (ammo or mod) in a match.   Knowing phantom is hiding behind that puny wall and not being able to shoot her....it would be too frustrating.

Yeah, in most cases the difference in damage is small enough that the utility of having cover piercing is still the smarter choice to make. Usually I use the Phalanx with AP and any other weapon for normal enemies.

Arc Pistol [9.16rps] 87.7 {526.2} - S = 57.7 {346.2} G = 37.7 {226.2}
AP - S = 76.2 {457.2} G = 69.2 {415.2}
EB 109.625 {657.75} - S = 79.625 {477.75} G = 59.625 {357.75}
Both - S 98.125 {588.75} G 77.5 {546.75}

The wraith is now a very good choice to take with any class, and the arc pistol got some major love as well. It basically is now a slug shooting talon/predator hybrid weapon and one I will definitely give more use to in the future.
