But Jacob's odd history with his father honestly give him a good degree of character, it would actually be awesome....if most mass effect characters didn't also have severe daddy issues.

Art imitating life of one of the writers?

Yeah, one of the writers was probably also a former c-sec officer who quit to run off with a human spectre with a fondness of making up bizarre stories about genocidal sentient starships, then went to become the spiderman of omega, much to the dismay of his stern, former c-sec officer father.

Honestly though. It's just odd writing that might border on it being slightly racist. Think about it, Jacob having a ruthless goon of a father who abandons him, and if you romance him, he runs out on you, people were laughing about the coincidences on YouTube but honestly bioware sounds like they created him in five minutes.

You could also view it as sexist, considering FemShep gets screwed on both her ME2 character romances whereas ManShep can continue both of his and as poor as they are they're still far more than what we get..
Just saying.

I should have you arrested by the taste police.

Jennifer Hale was in Bulletstorm <3_<3

Yeah as the military supermodel sidekick among a squad of beefy men.
After voicing a character like Shepard that must've felt like such a demotion.

Yes, she sounded different, not uptight, and for once she sounded a little more natural (well not for her realistically) to a character where she doesn't force her dialogue out.

I could argue this all day, but it's not worth it, so I'll just leave this.

It definitely bothers me that one of the two major people of colour (Anderson being the other) gets such a rude treatment by the narrative. I try not to think of it as having racist undertones because I do think of Bioware as a progressive company, but it's hard not to.

Speaking of Kaiden, they should have expanded on the l2 side effects more on him, instead of just giving him headaches, it should have created a bizarre jekyll/hyde personality within him, insane kaiden and normal kaiden, romancing him would be hilarious and eventful.

We didn't really get much in the way of his L2 side-effects, he never has a headache onscreen or anything. Bit let-down by that, to be honest. Anyway. I have bipolar disorder, and I don't think "Normal/Insane" Kaidan would have be "hilarious and eventful" at all. Thinking like that is a bit ableist, really, but I know you don't mean it in a harmful way.

This one politely apologizes for any offense it may have caused you, but you have to admit, having a male human romance option who just so happens to occasionally revert to a unpredictable, dangerous alter ego would be exciting to date. Think about it, you're having sex with him one minute, the next minute he's chasing you around the kitchen with a knife while you're in your underwear, hurling biotic blasts at you as well.

Then you'd have to explain why he wasn't booted out of the military years ago.
Besides, he once broke his own teacher's spine with his mind. What more dark do you need?

Anderson's death sucked, but he was a well-written character,   his back story with Saren, the council, and Kahlee sanders fits in nicely in the story of the games. He wasn't a racist cardboard cut-out at all IMO, Jacob however...may have been.

He also briefly dated Miranda, who happens to be a caucasian female of generous lower proportions. Just sayin'

Also ashley is black, or at least bi-racial.

Nah, the insanity from l2 could have been a slow gradual effect throughout the game, not something already established. It sets in throughout the game, you see little hints of it and eventually it surprises you.

What more dark do you need?

Uhm...chasing someone around the kitchen with a knife whilst wearing underwear dark?

I can't blame Jacob either, really.

Shepard's not exactly a prizzzze catch these days. Half prosthetic, psychologically unstable, sociopathically violent and destined to commit either suicide or genocide.

Everyone likes a "bad girl", but there be limits.

I haven't, actually, because it's not in my Shepard's character or mine. Lady was just doing her job. (I know many people do, though, and I'm not saying they're horrible human beings or anything. I can see why so many people do it.)

Khalisah can take a Krogan headbutt to the face and can deck Shepard to the floor in ME3.
She can hold her own.

you can see her more if you play SWTOR as a female imperial agent.

I'm seriously iffed that nobody remembers that Jo Wyatt is FemHawke. Come on, DA2 wasn't as bad as everyone says it is. Especially if FemHawke does Merrill. I promise. Eve Myles and her sweet sweet Welsh accent only makes it better!

Anderson's death sucked, but he was a well-written character, his back story with Saren, the council, and Kahlee sanders fits in nicely in the story of the games. He wasn't a racist cardboard cut-out at all IMO

The trick is, all of those bits were established before ME3 - which somewhy follows the notion that Kahlee and Anderson were not keeping in touch, despite being the "destined to be together" type, running into each other again and again under pretenses as absurd as "Kai Leng attacks Grissom Academy, gets kneecapped in BOTH LEGS, barely survives". Also, I think nowhere in ME3 is it mentioned that John Grissom, The First Man Through A Mass Relay, is Kahlee's father. Who was very pissed that there's an academy named after him, too.

RE: Jennifer Hale in Bulletstorm. You either like this kind of game, or you don't. For me, her and Steve Blum hurling expletives at each other was like an auditory orgasm. Especially since this is the first (and I am unsure if the only) time I've heard Jennifer Hale get a role with sweary swears in the lines. And it is glorious.

I do it just so I can yell "Shaboozey!!" while I do it.

I may be spending too much time on Youtube.

Maybe this is because this one has indulged itself in playing SWTOR as an imperial agent. But her voice is just so well-suited to voicing a cold, calculating spy/assassin who can kill you in a hundred ways that it's sexy in a way that's indescribable. Also in swtor in certain story sequences she puts on a American accent where she just sounds so innocent and unassuming that just inevitably makes her sexier. It's insane, it's insane, but still...jo wyatt.
