Yeah, kinda hard to confront femshep while she's locked-up on Earth, where the Reapers have attacked in force. How many other squadmates talked to her? Not one. Not even Shadow Broker Liara who the writers otherwise LOOOVE to force onto you.

Let me reiterate: femshep is locked-up and Jacob has no way of contacting her. I mean, you think the Alliance will want her talking to her old friends from Cerberus? Then it's hit by the Reapers, who are killing millions by the day, and targetting big cities. Shep is in Vancouver, big city and Alliance hub. Jacob has no reason to think he'll ever see her again. That's what he says when you see him on Gellix, something like "never thought I'd see you again" iirc, LI or not.

Again, not exactly reasonable of BW given straight-femshep's lack of options, but it does make sense.

This happens irl too. Those prisoners thrown in Guantanamo Bay without a trial have wives too. Said wives bang their heads against the wall trying to get to them. Some move on. Others just wallow in depression. For a man who's redeeming quality is "stability" and not being weak-minded, I would expect he'd do the former, not the latter.

you are missing 2 crucial points.

1.  he went right along with having sex with Bryn.
2.  he knocked her up, that guy who takes it slow and carefuly, that smart steady guy who knows there's war going on and its no time to have children.

the way bioware set it up, he didn't even try to write to femshep.  you get absolutely nothing.  moreover - he's STILLwaffling about it "I love you, I mean loved you"  and the only way to even get to call him bastard for just.. is to try to hit on him even knowing that he just very unceremoniously dumped you without even telling you first.

you know, there's a third option in there, with those prisoners.

keep loyal and keep trying.  people wait for decades for their loved ones to come back.  if you are so damn hard up about the celibacy thing, you know there are ways to take the edge off WITHOUT banging someone else.

what they did here is retcon the crap out of Jacob.  they decided, well he's not popular enough, so screw it, we're just going to use the same development for every Shepard. he's not popular enough romance to bother.
and so in unromanced playthrough, he's still that steady guy, who simply fell in love and is trying to do the right thing by his lover and the people she works with (pregnancy crap is still dumb though).  and Bryn is a nice, remorceful scientists trying to atone.  while in romanced playthrough, she's a predator who knows the guy she wants is in a relationship but goes after him anyways, and he's a weak willed lying cowardly sleezebag.

thank you so much for that one Bioware.

What about Jack?

She out right says she bats for both sides in ME2 and then refuses FemShep. It's like what? My FemShep stinks?

Pretty sure he says in the hospital "[the baby] was not exactly planned."

condoms don't exist anymore? or injectable birth control?  or multitude of other methods?  it was there to hammer nails into femshep romance, as well as do the whole emotional responce thing... awww, new baby, new hope, blablabla, whatever.

yeah..... its railroading, popularity contest you didn't know you were a part of and resource alocation based on aforementioned popularity contest.  just ike everything else in ME3.  the only reason refund guy got a cameo is becasue of his popularity on the forums. you can trace practicaly every single optional mission/cameo/option to something from BSN or fanfiction.net  including Joker/EDI, Garrus/Tali/Dr Michel, a lot of the conversations you overhear, Kaidans' newfound bisexuality, etc.  its pretty amazing how ME3 is simultaneously a love letter to the fans and a slap in their face

I should have gotten an idea after that fiasco of a femshep vote.

Jacob clearly should have been the main character in the series rather than Shepard. He even has the oft used Jaheira syndrome down pat with with Kasumi Goto (I always pronounced it Go Too for some reason.) lusting after him after losing her lover.

Jacob was treated terribly by Bioware, there's just no way around it. I had to control the laughter when I saw Jacob getting shot, clearly he's forgotten how to shoot in ME3.

And while we're at it. Who came up with the brilliant idea to hide scientists escaping from The Illusive Man INSIDE AN OLD CERBERUS BASE?! Especially since these scientists are supposed to be so damned smart. You'd think they would have at least gotten out of those Cerberus uniforms. lol!!

And the final scene in that mission was ridiculous. All of those Cerberus troopers (and Atlas') were needed just to kill a few geeks and their kids? If they were THAT important, shouldn't they have been able to help with Cerberus intel or troop movement? Provide more powerful weapons or other advances?

Kasumi and Jacob would have made more sense than him hooking up with someone random.

I dunno, Hale had better character models and VA in other games like Bulletstorm or Tears of War.

Maybe this is because this one has indulged itself in playing SWTOR as an imperial agent. But her voice is just so well-suited to voicing a cold, calculating spy/assassin who can kill you in a hundred ways that it's sexy in a way that's indescribable. Also in swtor in certain story sequences she puts on a American accent where she just sounds so innocent and unassuming that just inevitably makes her sexier. It's insane, it's insane, but still...jo wyatt.

Vanguard sperm.

Not much you can do when it pulls the egg down the fallopian tubes, novas for the lifesplosion and charges into the uterine wall.

I'd switch ladies, if I was in Jacob's shoes. The other has almost manlier voice than the guy himself and people around her diiiie.

Clearly, much like the popular trivia video game, You Don't Know Jack. She's the Morinth of ME. You have to give her the back of your hand several times just to get her to respect you and if you want a piece of that, you're going to need to feed her a knuckle sandwich reporter style.

Abused people's brains work in funny ways, kids.
