When I'm short like 5k to buy some pack, I can't usually be arsed to play another Gold game as it's just constant performance with hardly any breaks when you get swarmed again.

Sometimes I just want to take it easy and go silver/bronze :P

I must be lucky, my last 10 Silver PUG runs were 100% successful.

Well, it must help I played my Asari Adept. This character can bring so much to a team it's somewhat indecent.

I also pay attention to the classes and weapons in the lobby before starting a match or leaving the room.

Anyway, you can fool around in Bronze and when most matches are around 15 minutes, it's not too bad for the money.

I generally only hit bronze as a 20 to try out new builds or very different weapons. Or if I need 13K credits to buy my next pack and I don't want to carry 4 waves solo.

Wait.

Change that last part to --and I don't want to spend 25 minutes on a game.

Almost lvl 20 with everything, and I play mostly bronze and some silvers. Why? Like everyone else, it's just infinitely more relaxing in bronze. I play games to have fun, not to get angry and rage. I can do silver just fine (with a good team and all) but I've never played gold simply because I know the amount of teamwork required cannot be found in your usual PUGs. In bronze and to a lesser extent silvers I know that if needs be I have a chance at succeeding in those last man/clutch plays on my own.

Its great fun when a higher ranked player plays Bronze for whatever reason, it helps us who are hopeless at MP and even if I am dead I can see how they get things done, the only time I have been in a completed session has been with highter rankers, otherwise you crash out at wave 3 or 4,
Some people just need longer than others to get used to it.

I think bronze is great for getting the last few credits I need for any given pack I happen to be buying (spectre or PSP last week or Resurgence this week).

Silver is actually not that bad - now that I do it regularly, I think most teams I'm on are successful, or at least manage to get to wave 10 objective, which is all I want - I do prefer getting to extraction, esp. for people who aren't level 20, though.

Gold is really high pressure and can get fairly intense. I love how fast the credits come in compared to silver and bronze and it really demands a lot of players. I've seen teams recover from what looked very much like defeat in gold, whereas on silver I doubt such a situation would have even happened. There's something satisfying about that.

After all that on silver and gold, bronze is a nice way to take a leisurely stroll around a random firebase and fill enemies full of whatever you happen to have handy.

I am amused at my change in perspective. When I first started playing I felt like I was drowning in enemies on bronze, and now I feel like there's barely any to be seen.

I'll quite often do Bronze on a 20. I have a few friends that have recently bought the game and enjoy playing with friends, costs me nowt to boost em up in a match while they learn the ropes

It takes me ten minutes to do one bronze run, thirty to do a silver. Therefore, I get more credits per minute. Also I don't have a mic and I have yet to get a good silver team (usually its me and another guy carrying two others.)

It's fun and I don't have to worry too much about dieing as I take on objectives, or to revive team mates. I don't mind taking longer to get packs and it allows me to collect consumables faster than I use them. Right now I promote one class at a time, level it to twenty then promote another class. Most of the time I'm not a level twenty in Bronze, unless the class I'm levelling would conflict with the rest of the random team. Haven't ventured into Silver much yet, and I only play Gold with friends, at least with friends they'll tell you if you're being a liability or a pain in the neck.

Personally, I know my limits. My reaction time, my aim, my battlefield awareness is, I guess, just average. I don't think I am a bad player, I do my homework on what the powers do, how the weapons work, what combos with what etc. but I do realize what I can, and what I can't do.

To win at any game, to me, is not the highest score, but to have fun. In bronze, I have fun, 'because' it is a bit more forgiving on mistakes they I will inevitably make.

And while I don't care much about my score, I do care about diminishing the fun for others. I don't want to make the playing experience worse for others by making mistakes that will endanger the outcome of the match.

As such, bronze it is for me.

Bronze is great for trying out new builds, or simply trying out new tactics with old builds without the threat of having some d-bag call you out over the mic. It's also typically more fun simply because most players in a bronze match are just there to chill and enjoy the game. I enjoy the challenge of silver and gold, but most of the time I just want to relax and keep up my Readiness.

This explains it better for me than my earlier post in the thread. I know I make a lot of mistakes, that I can survive through in bronze, but playing a higher difficulty would result in my team mates having to revive me more often than I, or likely they, would be comfortable with. So bronze is fun for me, and anything higher just gets stressful, which isn't what I want from my leisure time.

When I want a challenge, I'll do it in single player where my mistakes will affect no one but myself.

I have all my characters at level 20 and right now I'm not caring whether or not I promote. I have a group of friends that are mostly on late for me (I'm central time U.S.) since they are west coast or late job workers, and I like to play silver/gold with them. I generally play bronze when I don't want to take the chance of hitting a bad group, burning 15-20m for 7k credits because there is no teamwork at round 6 of silver.

I've started to play silver more with randoms just because the weekly packs have been so many credits. Success is more mixed, and that's fine. If I'm tired, or just want to blow of some steam without the tension of even silver, I play bronze.

Nothing wrong with that :)

I also enjoy jumping into bronze games where there are people with way lower levels. I had too many games when I was low level where I was left on my own or kicked, so I enjoy to show people that not all players who have been playing this MP that long are like that, and help out.

I only play the MP part of the game to get high enough EMS for the end of the SP game. I'm not there for Gold mode. I play the bronze and get it over with.

I find most of the time I go into a public gold or silver match I'm saddled with terrible players.

This.  I've only now started trying Gold, but almost each time I do, I play with low-level people who refuse to stay together and die instantly/repeatedly.

Why do I play Bronze sometimes:

Testing builds and weird ideas.
Using weapons/skills/builds that are fun to use on Bronze, but tend to suck in higher difficulties.
Level 1 toon that was just promoted
I want to feel like a biotic god
I am not in the mood for Silver/Gold
I need 14k or less, and dont want to put in much effort to get it.
