I mean about not changing the ending.  Think about it, there was a huge uproar about how terrible the ending is, and this was often coming from long-time fans IE their base.  The Retake the Ending Movement, while still a vocal minority is growing daily, and are now at nearly 63 thousand.

That, coupled with the fact that they have lied before, as is apparent in neumerous polls throughout these boards, leads me to hypothosise that Bioware is changing the ending into something completely different.  Whether or not it will be better is completely unknowable until there is a script leak, or the Extended Cut actually comes out.

Here is my guess though on how they will do it.

They get rid of everything after the big choice (which actually makes a difference in this part), and you end up being grabbed by your squad. and you go after Harrbinger.  You fight his avatar TIM (in the same way Saren was the avatar of Soverign) within Harrbinger, and depending on what you chose, either you gain enhanced power (Synthesis), TIM has fewer defenses (Destruction), or you end up taking control of the other squadmates, and fight Shepard and TIM using their powers (control).

At the end of the control scenario, assuming you win, Shepard gains some control of his/her body, and destroyes the core of Harrbinger killing him/herself in the process, then a funeral followed by an epilogue.

At the end of destruction, Shepard and company run out of Harrbinger as Joker takes the killing shot on it, Shepard may be crushed depending on EMS, otherwise, it's very simmilar to the ending to ME1, except ther is an epilogue where the immediate rammifications are explained.

At the end of synthesis, Shepard's powers blow out destroying TIM and Harrbinger, and depending on whether or not you accepted Liara's gift either Shepard becomes paralized, or simply loses all of the extra power.  After that, show an epilogue.

At least that's the way I'd do it if I was relying on something other that IT and keeping in the part with the star brat.

But then again, this cannot even be called a theory... it can barely be called a hypothosis, and something I'd like to see if they don't get rid of the starchild and don't use IT.

So you think Bioware is changing their ending because Retake gained 1,000 members in the last 2 weeks? (even though some are happy now, some gave up but never left the facebook group) interesting. So Bioware is releasing statements from even their Co Founder denying this, using PR ads using Retake's uprising as a quote to sell their game in magazines, and denying your cupcakes all to give you secretly what you want this summer?

I really wouldn't think that way, you are setting yourself up for mass disappointment but I'm no seer

I like your enthusiasm, however BioWare doesn't like negative feedback. Hiding behind the "artistic integrity" BS shows that they don't care about their fan base and the extended cut will yet be another failed attempt at something that could have been so much more

I kind of doubt it, man. They'd have to be monumentally stupid to deliberately further undermine their own credibility at this point. They've made mistakes, but they're not idiots.

Other than the fact that every statement and every piece of PR tells us otherwise.

They like their endings. You're not getting any more endings. How many times do they/people have to tell you that until it sinks in.

Just because you're a very vocal minority of the fanbase doesn't make you special snowflakes that can somehow cause a company to not only lie but give something that is not deserved.

How many times did they mention extremely different endings?  How many times did they mention no ABC choice?  I rest my case.

You take pre-release statements as if they're etched in gold and never to be changed.

It's called hyperbole. You're not supposed to take it at face value. Maybe that's your problem.

I'm curious, you're telling us that you are perfectly fine with products nothing matching their description? That us who took BioWare at their word are wrong for doing so? Cause that is certainly....something.

And to the OP, no, I highly doubt that BioWare are lying about this. Why would they?

I don't understand how anyone can still talk about a "vocal minority". I have followed ME3 threads on many different forums and everywhere I look the majority hates and complains about the ending. BSN isn't the only place to conduct polls about it.

Simple, to keep people talking.  The saying goes, "There is no such thing as bad publicity."

In my country, many people rage only on local forums just because they don't speak english.

Everytime I see it I have to chuckle to myself.

I can't pick up a gaming magazine that doesn't have some commentary about the ME3 ending in it at the moment and lot of those magazines themselves say how massive this is.

Whatever though, they can call it a vocal minority all they want, it won't make it so.

I find it hard to believe a "vocal minority" in here would magically know all at the same time whenever a poll is being conducted somewhere on the Internet and rush in the scew the results, while the majority of forum regulars just don't bother to vote at all.

Wanna make a bet? The flash mob hit the gametrailers poll as soon as someone found out about it.

You would be surprised the length some of them would go to make sure they look like "winners"

How does this mob find out about these polls that have never even been mentioned in here? How about forum discussions that are limited only to readers of a certain magazine in Finnish? People make rally calls to vote in polls over in here all the time, so if this mob was purposely trying to hit every single ME3 poll on the Internet, you'd know about it. We have threads about everything the retakers are doing right here in BSN. Scewing online polls hasn't been on the agenda.

By the time anything appears most people will have ceased to care. Which beg's the question is the delay because they need time, or are they just buying time until people move on ?

March was a quiet month, Witcher 2 just came out , that will distract a lot of people . Next month Max Payne comes out and so on.

Would not suprise me since you are gambling with real money when you buy a pack. It's a gamble just like a lottery ticket, not a purchase. The rules are very different.
