I would not put it past them at this point. I still have it burned into my head "wildly different conclusions" "16 different endings" "Victorious and uplifting". I got exactly zero of that. Worse than Peter Molyneux, he didn't promise things and then failed to deliver, he said what he wanted and tried to implement as much as he could given time/budget constraints and such, at least at the end of Fable 3, if you're going to screw everything, you know its coming.
My faith in the make of bioware games has been shaken beyond the point that it can be redeemed to what it was. I doubt i will even bother with Dragon age 3 at this point.
The fact that the ending of the game can do that to me should explain just how bad it was, and it only gets worse if you read through the codex and look at past actions and plot points.
I expected to get an ending that if not "happy" at the very least made some sense and didn't have me dooming half or all of the galaxy.
I will play the extended cut, but i expect very little from it if they keep their "artistic integrity"(the more you use that excuse the dumber it sounds, especially when your "art" screws over everything else about it at the very end).
Bioware will have to pull off something incredibly fantastic to keep me as a loyal fan.

Extended Cut will most likely be one or two extra scenes, and a short text epilogue. Certainly nothing major like OP describes. It's free remember ? They won't go too much overbudget for no return, EA being already in the red with SWTOR and BF3 marketing.
Whatever the case they made their choice, time will tell if they were right or not.

Other than the fact that every statement and every piece of PR tells us otherwise.

They like their endings. You're not getting any more endings. How many times do they/people have to tell you that until it sinks in.

Just because you're a very vocal minority of the fanbase doesn't make you special snowflakes that can somehow cause a company to not only lie but give something that is not deserved.

well they can like their endings,  but  they are not getting anymore of my money. in the end we pay for their  contuine existence

I don't think they lied a lot about ME3 to be honest. The current ending contains hints everywhere that it's not the ending we think it is. They said it won't be an A-B-C choice and I still believe it won't, see IT. They said MP was not needed to get the perfect ending, and I think they still didn't lie (where the secrect small clip is only a hint to what is going on. You play MP, you get one more hint, but the outcome is the same with or without MP).

I personally think EC will just make the reality more obvious and we will get the real ending in a DLC (or multiple ones). Actually, I would not be surprised that EC is released exactly at the same moment as the real ending DLC that was planned all along. But they better not charge for it (DLCs).

I've destroyed Bioware a lot in my posts after DA2 and Origin, but I still trust the ME team. I find it impossible that they dropped the ball so hard on the final 5 minutes where nothing makes sense if you don't see the big picture (IT).

Logic seems to have gone out the window lately but hopefully things will start to improve now that "The Movement" have apparently "Lost the BSN"

Seriously will you stop your little war and stay in subject ?

This is getting childish...

I'm not talking about you specifically but taunting will not get you good results...
This a subject about the content of Extended Cut not the size and influence of the retake movement or anti-retakers
