Do you realize you actually die more than used to be?

With random group member I felt death count at field has been increased a lot due to couple of reasons.
Enemy's Weapon Damage is so high.
Enemy's Weapon Acuricy is unbelievable.
Enemy's has great team work.
Once they breached your team defence system, revive / med gel is kind useless.
If you are not an inflitrator you have no chance to take down group of 6 enemies.
And if your team comes down to help you, they will lose the spawn point that enemy will spawn closer so that quicker GG is on the way.

ANyone can take down a group of 6, they shouldn't be so far away.

As you can see, the majority of changes benifit players. There are some that make things more difficult but they are ment to balance out the challenge (having almost entire waves try to hit your little turret isnt exactly fair
Or perhaps you have had some bad luck.
As more people have joined multiplayer since launch, the odds of you running into a full group of good players decreases.
Now, you are more likely to encounter a mix of, good players, people new to the game or those who's weapon levels are not as high as you would like.

The best "team defence system" is to stick close to your squad and be aware of your surroundings. Too many times, I've had a Hunter take me down and then watched it walk up to my teammate and blast them repeatedly in the face as they continue staring in the opposite direction. Stick as a team, watch your surroundings, and look towards your allies if you get a notification that someone's down. They'll need your help to be revived anyway, and if they were taken out by an Atlas that you hadn't noticed, looking that way sooner rather than later is a good thing.

This killed your whole argument. There's a lot of ways you can kill 6 enemies, with a wide variety of classes.
this game have a simple rule: don't get flanked.

I never carried a team until a few weeks ago and now I have done it 10 times in the last week. I am above average but certainly not great. If I am carrying a gold team it usually means wipe-outs around wave 7 or 8.

- 'seem to go right through him, just as if he, wasn't there' (internet cookie to anyone that can name the song that line's from)
- become homing bullets, so regardless what cover I'm behind or whether I'm running at full pelt, every single one will hit me.
It's literally that extreme on occasion and no amount of caution seems to make any difference. Hear a gunshot, expect shields to be going/gone regardless.

It's a team-based based game mode. When you have three teammates, it isn't so that you can split up and each play solo in your own individual corners, or so you can play hide and seek. It's so you can work as a team. Even when I'm playing with randoms, if I stick with them I'll survive far better than if I ran off on my own. If you're dying, it's because you've run away from your teammates and you don't have any backup.

yesterday I did a gold against geth at glacier, we stiicked together mostly of the times. Even when we got ourselves in the most stupid spots in the map, we could do it because one covered others ass. Full extraction.
Then I go to dagger against cerberus with a dfferent team, two batarians and a infiltrator with shotgun (I was with geth engineer). I go to the match knowing it won't last. 3 close combat chars could work fine if they stayed together, but no, wave started and each one run to one corner of the map, I followed one to cover at least one ass. Wave 3, everyone down, each one in a different corner..

I'm far from being the best player here, I'd say I'm average.
But taking down 6 enemies is actually quite easy. You just have to play smart, move a lot and use your power like they are meant to be used.
Okay, if I'm cornered by 6 brutes (unlikely), I will get hurt. But if you get cornered, you made a few mistakes on your way...

I find this funny. If you're trying to hold spawns, wtf were YOU doing so far away?
If you are going to hold spawns, you need to do it in pairs and you should choose two spawns that are close together so that someone from the other group can come help quickly and not abandon his partner at the same time.
