If I could have them do something simple in the EC? delete the whole "Tali reveal" photo crap. We are better off not knowing if that was how they were going to do it.

To me that video sounds more like covering up shoddy work due to time constraints or whatever. Putting a positive spin on something no one is happy with.

See but they never say "This picture was the best, we loved it." It sounds more like they never wanted to do an in game rendering, but would rather just do a photo. Ok fine by me. But render the photo! Don't slap some purple over a human model from google images.

I think Tali is awesome, and the stock photo 'chop didn't offend me as much as the purely amateurish nature of the photoshop.
It's something I could do. And do better. And I haven't really played with Photoshop since I was doing design with 3.0. It's also something that plenty of people online have done better. Using the same stock photo. And if they wanted to create a face, well, fans -- for nothing other than their love of th game -- have come up with countless examples of a Quarian's face that puts Bioware to shame.
And Bioware gives us this.

Omfg....faceplam
Wow. Just... wow.
So as I read this, Casey Hudson has no problem being the guy who intentially failed to wrap up a plot line the fans wanted to see resolved. Should have stuck with forgot.

They should have shown her face in game at that scene on Rannoch where she takes off her f******g MASK! That's a no brainer! Depending on the outcome, you would either see her with a closed eye, soft smile as she took in the air of her homeworld or you would see her beyond distraught with tears streaming down her face as she...well...you know. It would have been dramatic and in context! Instead, she gives Shepard, who's already seen her face, a PICTURE of her? That's just awkward and seemingly out of character given how she's presented as being a fairly modest person. It seems out of character for her to be posing like that for a potrait!

It's entirely possible, but since you can access the videos without having to open the app on the PC version, it would be easier to just upload the actual MP4 file that is in HD instead of recording it with his phone.Xion66 wrote...
Ah, thank you for that update, I was wondering about the source but found the information poignant enough to post here, if it's from the app, couldn't this just be a recording of the video playing?
Watching them both side by side again, i'm pretty convinced that this guy took the harder, lower quality route. The only difference between the videos is where he adds in the screen shots from the game.

I actually believe that showing her not in the game was the right way. Tali was so beloved by the fanbase that no possible model/rendering could meet the expactations. But they way they handled this fact was just poor.lordnyx1 wrote...
Yeah, people didn't want to see her ingame..
sigh
Why didn't they put some old photos of quarians from the time before the suits on Rannoch. In a ruin. Iike the ones on Haestrom. In this case, people would have a frame of how quarians look and could imagen they're own Tali (like they did since ME1). It would keep the mistery up but in a nice way.
(It btw sucks that we don't see anything quarian at Rannoch at all...lazy mother****ers)

I'm okay with tali's face. Some people are really blowing this out of proportion. It's a video game, give it a rest.
The "face" is fine. It's the insanely lazy execution that bothers most people. A generic, badly-done photoshopped stock photo.
They managed to spend time, money, and resources modeling Jessica Chobot's face, but they couldn't be bothered to model the face of a beloved squadmate that's been by your side in all three games.
It was a lazy, underwhelming, and vastly disappointing method of reveal, not just for Tali, but for her entire species. The quarians, and Tali, deserved far more effort.

So, because it's a video game, they don't have to put effort into it?
Hmmm.... maybe I should start making video games that have crappy images in it and you can buy them cause it's okay that they are full of crappy images cause they are video games.
Right....

Judging people's stance by youtube commenters is probably the silliest thing I've ever seen, comment section usually blow but it's pretty much accepted that youtube comments are not even worth to take into consideration.

But seriously, they went from "Keeping the mystery." to photoshopping a stock photo in 30 seconds...
They do realise that even though it wasn't an in-game model it still ruined the mystery, right?
I mean... Were they HIGH when they were making all these decisions? It's redunkulous.
Good grief.
