How to be pathetic:

Step 1: Constantly cry for attention. "Why the radio silence? Why not talk to us?"
Step 2: Wait impatiently for any response from the devs. If there is a response, move to step 3. Otherwise repeat step 1.
Step 3: Accuse dev of lying and cry more about being emotionally and psychologically hurt.

Disclaimer: The above may not apply to you. If it does, feel free to flame me.

Don't worry. This is not legit. In fact, we aren't yet at a state in production where mr "art monkey" could even see what he is describing.

How are we supposed to believe you? The described scenareo sounds exactly like something the fools who made the current ending would do.

Why am I so skeptical? These same people lied to the fans, we have recorded and timestamped moments of direct (and BBB certified) dishonesty to the consumer...

Your company LIED to us, and you have done nothing to rebuild support with your players. Until shuch time as you give me a reason, I will assume the worst.

Why should he say anything then? No matter what he says from now on youll acuse him of being a liar. There is no point in communicating with people like you...

@Gamble: Thank you for communicating with us, and thank you for taking the time to definitively refute this 'leak'. I wish Bioware would talk more. Additional communication with us angry fans would really help us simmer down.

@Ubergrog: I agree with you, and I understand why you're angry (I'm angry too), but I think you're just a little too ureasonable in your hate. Bioware's response to this whole mess has seriously hurt my trust in them. There have been a lot of lies thrown around, but all of them were either resonably early in dev (thus they could have been truth at the time) or done by Bioware's PR and spoken by a representative in some official capacity. Gamgle is here as an actual person, so I have no reason to distrust him.

@Kanon77: That's probably the reason Bioware's been so silent lately; they're afraid of having rage directed at them. However, I think that the best solution to reduce the fan outrage at this point is to talk anyways. They'd get flamed heavily at first, but it'd go a long way with repairing relations.

I like this human.

4chan needs to do more ridiculous ones like that Advent one. It was so obviously fake and people still believed it

I don't believe the 4chan post, but people have plenty of legitimate reasons to not trust Bioware either. I hope Bioware's smart enough to know that an extended cut as described in the "leak" would still be terribad, but these are the people who gave us the original terribad ending in the first place...

Pulling the "this is all Bioware's fault and we can treat them like jerks because they broke our trust" card is real weak, it's like "he started it!" back in grade school. If you're so hurt by it that you can't be reasonable, then you need to do what you'd do in a real situation like this and take some time away from it. A lot of people would like a real dialogue with Bioware, and it's impossible as long as people show up and scream "liar" at the top of their lungs.

So do the right thing and try to be reasonable, because by acting like that, you're not just being immature, you're also screwing the (large) portion of the community who would like a genuine dialogue. So it's immature and selfish too.

Bioware should definitely be held accountable, but it's possible to do it in a better manner, and I'd bet that manner would be more effective at getting the point across as well.

Really hope Mike Gamble's being honest here.

Honestly, if the extended cut just piles more of that awful ending on with no attempt to actually fix all the problems and it keeps all our choices and invested time and money as meaningless and wasted as they are right now, with nothing but misery and failure as a reward for hundreds of hours of gameplay, which is all this apparent troll post in the OP's link does, I'd almost certainly be done as a customer for Bioware for good. Dragonage 3 wouldneed to be literally flawless for me to stay giving them cash.

It's just a shame that there's been so many lies coming from Bioware for so long that I can't truly say I believe him though.

The trust is just gone mate. Sorry.

Allow me to give you an example of what happens when a company comes clean with their mistakes.

Kerberos Productions botched their release of SOTS2, and they had an entire thread dedicated to flaming the hell out of the project lead with no threat of banning (as it was his choice to release before the game was ready). He read every response and responded admitting that he screwed up and was dedicated to fixing the problem. The game is still being fixed, and it's still a few months out from being truly ready.

I still play it, and I respect and openly talk with the devs on their forums because they came out and admitted they screwed up. The difference is respect, the difference is communication. EA failed and spun the problems instead of admitting they screwed up and swore to fix the problem.

To be fair, 1 and 3 are probably mostly different groups. Getting rid of 3 would be a good start.

May is not summer, btw, I know global warming is confusing things a bit, but I think that when BW says "summer" they mean the official one.

The road to recovering trust must be started by the one who broke the trust in the first place. Let me use an example to show what i mean.

Lets say you're a guy. Your girlfriend fuc*ed your neighbour while tell you that she was at her friend's house. Next she fuc*ed your best friend and said she was at home reading. Then she fuc*ed your brother who lives 10 blocks away, while saying she was at work.

Then one grand day, your brother, your best friend and your neighbour showed up and told you all of them fuc*ed your girlfriend. You asked her for the truth but she kept quiet until one day, some randomc guy showed up at your door with an interesting story about fuc*ing your girlfriend but she denies it.

Now, it seems that some feel that the onus to rebuilding the trust is on you, the guy whose girlfriend fuc*ed around. So you should forgive her and believe her when she denies it. Personally i believe its up to the girl to come clean totally to the guy and see if the relationship can continue at all (of course, some may choose to abandon the relationship once they know the truth and that is fair enough)

Okay. Obviously we can't trust BioWare...why would we believe something posted on 4chan by a supposed BioWare employee?

What is wrong with some people?
1)Remotely possible version of events for DLC posted on 4 chan, people get worried
2)Mike Gamble turns up at assures us it is in fact a lie
Now logic dictates that '3)' should be "We all breathe a collectively sigh of relief and go back to our foruming".
....but no this is BSN so naturally some fools resort to
3) GAMBLE IS A LIAR, HE CAN'T BE TRUSTED!!!11!! Srsly guys they just want to troll us alllll!!!

C'mon if you aren't going to believe someone who is involved with the inner workings of Bioware as opposed to some anonymous internet tipster then I can completely understand why Bioware don't want to communicate with us more often.

These guys and gals are people too and deserve as much respect as you would afford any other person in the world.

Appealing to authority while purposefully blinding yourself to context is a logical fallacy.

It was posted on 4 chan right? Soooooooo, why are we still talking about it? When has anything remotely legit come from that place?

Obvious troll is obvious.

Now , don't get me wrong, I am worried that they will pull something like this, but I can't believe anything from this source.

That sounds plausible and is almost exactly the kind of underwhelming thing I expected as soon as they said extended cut and used the word closure. Ergo no real changes your choices still don't matter enjoy the really bad now slightly longer ending oh and you are now a legend buy more dlc...

If you mean what I think you mean and you are implying I'm blindly siding with Gamble, then all I'll ask you is what does he stand to gain by lying?

If it was paid DLC I could understand a hush up on details to preserve sales. But its not. Its a free DLC. So I ask again why bother lying?

Likely not true, however:

If true then I fail to see how this fits with the claim that under the right conditions "Shepard and his/her LI can be reunited."

...No, they can't, not if we take that link as truth. Shepard is either conscious on Earth or the Citadel, your LI is on Mystery Planet. Fill in the blanks for me here? Hopefully the Renegade/Paragon interrupts are what make these additions show up.

In addition, this still doesn't explain why all your crew are magically aboard the Normandy AND why Joker flees? And that's not something that'll be fixed by Paragon/Renegade interrupts.

Edit: Sorry, just caught up on Mike Gamble's post, good news overall (though the addition of Paragon/Renegade interrupts or conversation options is a nice idea).
