The only part in there that is even remotely good is "Shepard can also challenge him [the Catalyst] at certain points, depending on how you've handled things."

However, it seems as though any argument still leads to you picking Genocide, Dictator, or Dr. Moreau, which is pretty damn awful.

Assuming, for the sake of argument, that it's true to begin with. . .

Though, most likely fake. I would be okay with this, if it were true.

To be honest, considering Bioware's defence of the baffling ending, it wouldnt surprise me that they would just try to polish it up rather than fix it.

An ending like this would be better bad in the same way that dying of dysentry would be better than getting the bubonic plague.

You can take a rock and paint it gold, but that doesnt actually make it into gold.

Don't worry. This is not legit. In fact, we aren't yet at a state in production where mr "art monkey" could even see what he is describing.

lol... so, what this means is that the "leak" could still be true, because Mr. Gamble hasn't been the most reliable of sources (*cough* pre-release quotes *cough*)

Why would he lie about the contents of a *FREE* DLC? If there was money involved I'd be cynical but there is no financial incentive for Bioware here therefore no money to lose out on if content is leaked early. Therefore he is merely dismissing a RUMOUR to ease an already on edge fanbase!

Who knows why he would.  Only he does. Is it okay to lie to a fanbase to make money? Gee, I'd hope not.  If it's ok for him to lie for money, it might be ok to just f*ck with the fanbase for no reason as well.

If this is true.....damnit bioware you may hide behind your "artistic integrity" of the endings but doing that destroyed the artistic integrity of the whole series your better than this and if this causes a ****storm i wouldnt be suprised and just remember if this goes worse for you, you had your chance to listen and despite all this i love your games bioware and think you are a talented company but if you cant make it up to us then please refer to my point in the beggingin of this statement

My god gamble, we'd though you were consumed by an alternate dimension or something. Have you eaten in the last month?

You also told us there were 16 endings, that our choices mattered in how the game ends along with so many other things... i apoligize if i come off as hostile in a way but i must take your comment with JUST a grain of salt fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me i love bioware and i really hope you could do better than what the guy is saying because this will most likely cause a ****storm if it turns out the way it was just described NOW im not saying make the EC worse than the ending was ( if that was possible) but give us something that mass effect as a series deserves and at the high standard that you guys are known for which was put into doubt after said endings

I hope this isn't true. I'm banking on not-uninstalling my game. If this is it... I'm just cutting my losses with Bioware.

If you mean what I think you mean and you are implying I'm blindly siding with Gamble, then all I'll ask you is what does he stand to gain by lying?

If it was paid DLC I could understand a hush up on details to preserve sales. But its not. Its a free DLC. So I ask again why bother lying?

What did they gain from lying the first time around?

Errr...millions of pre-orders resulting in veeery large profits?
Like I said if this DLC wasn't free then I would be skeptical. But like I also said it isn't, therefore there is no incentive on Gamble's part to lie.

ow, you are really short sighted and with such thinking you will never be able to work as PR or any other such work. Now hear me carefully, They know trust has been lost and they can't go wrong with this one. The thing it is free of charge is because there is no way they can make us pay for this after all that contraversy with ending. They will got eaten by media and community even if EC will be greatest thing ever done if they will star5t to monetize on that.
And now why would Gamble lie to us this time? What if this leak was done intentionally. You can easily say it' s not true if you see reaction from fans like you see now. Who can prove other way that it is real. Noone. But they gain really good look at what won't work in EC DLC. That's because I would have done that way so that I know for real what will work and what not. That kinf of tactics have been used all over the industry to find what works and what not before you actually do something.
And in the end why would we need to trust them now? I really don't see a reason for trust to be gain just yet. After great EC, maybe but it won't be that easy for them to get everyone's trust in one day. Even after great EC DLC most of us will still have trust issues.

I would to. it sounds very emotional and clear which is what the minority wanted all along. It will also show all the races, npcs etc made to stop the whole my decisions didn't matter crowd, and total closure at the very end. I think if Bioware made that the extended cut, it would make the game even better.

I dont begrudge people who like the ending as it is, but how can you say the people who dislike it are a 'minority' when almost every serious gaming site has either panned or critisized the ending? Heck if Blizzard is making fun of the ending to ME3, you know something is wrong!

People always say there is a 'vocal minority' in things like this but maybe that minority are the only ones who can be bothered to post, and in fact there are many more people who agree with them that just dont say anything? Maybe the 'vocal minority' are just a small part of the disgruntled (but quiet) majority.

Wait, so no matter what you do in the game, picking destroy gets the krogan to fight eachother? did I read that right? This hole they're in just keeps getting deeper and deeper... if this is true.

Honestly? I don't think it is.

It could be some kind of hidden customer analysis to figure out if the players would be satisfied with such an ending or what ending would satisfy the most people.

The problem is, this wasn't designed to cater to the minority. :pinched:
The EC is meant to cater to Retake. The majority. If this is true (probably not)
...then eff this.

I wonder is this "leak" was a test screening of their idea to see how people would react.

Probably not true...and this may have been asked before, I haven't read all 18 pages.
