There are actually people that got banned for posting their dislike of Mass Effect 3 ending, so instead swallowing any Bioware lie that they say, you should think that actually the fans have a strong point.

It's obvious that Bioware tries to hide the hatred they gathered regarding the ending of ME3. It's what I would do after I would mess up things so bad.

You can't just take all of the facts, testimony and reasoning given over the whole thread and just decide that it happened. I'm not BioWare so I don't think that makes it count as a BioWare lie, does it? As I said, if I were asked to ban people for having opinions and viewpoints, I'd be long gone.

Cool. Want to give me their usernames, so I can verify? Because I can think of a few people who were banned because they weren't able to follow the forum rules, and of that group, there are going to be people who were against the ending. Just like there are people in that group who were in favour of the ending.

I'm more than happy to investigate anyone's case who thinks they were unfairly banned - however, there are rules everyone agrees to when they sign up here. If you can't follow those rules, that's when you get banned.

I just wish there was a bit more of a warning to it or something. I saw you ban someone once, it went like this - thread posted, banned immediately.
You'd think moderators delete threads and send warning messages first. I mean, when I was a moderator at another forum, that's what I did.

Most bans are preceded by warnings. There are a few exceptions, though - personal attacks against other posters or developers, hate speech (homophobia, etc.) or piracy talk. You'll get an immediate 24 hour ban for any of those.

Spamming, bickering or meme image posting (in violation of the site rules), on the other hand, I give people at least one (sometimes two) warnings before banning for any of those. As always, though, we're human, and if we made a mistake we're completely open to addressing that.

Time for some common sense & honesty.

At the end of the day, the BioWare Social Network is a business ran by BioWare for the enjoyment of our customers and to promote our products. We do allow our customers the ability to express their pleasure and displeasure with us and our choices when it comes to our products. People do not get banned for expressing their like or dislike of our games and practices.

However, using the BSN is a priviledge, not a right. We run these forums for the betterment of our fans and our products. If people break the rules, they may be banned. If people come here and try to harm BioWare as a business, they may be banned. Try walking into your local McDonalds (or whatever) and telling all the customers who walk in that the Big Mac is aweful and everyone should leave and go to Burger Store X instead and see how long you are allowed to do this before you are asked to leave.

We are not banning people (the retake people, fans upset with the endings, people with other complaints, etc) who act civily and post their feelings about the game. However, there is a line between giving us your feedback and trying to hurt us as a company. We will not tolerate abuse of individuals or BioWare/EA as a company. We give a lot of leeway to people to tell us how they feel. We want the negative feedback as it helps us improve for the future, but peopel who cross the line will be dealt with as needed.

This is no longer really about Mass Effect 3, so it gets closed now. If people have follow up questions, please feel free to ask me through teh Private Message system. Thanks.

LOCKDOWN!
