The site is very slow and very random. For me it went "Yay, you have gained the 'Achieve level 20 as a Mage' achievement!", only to take a week to catch on to the fact that the character was no longer level 16.

The whole site is basicly still a work in progress - and will likley remain so well into the new year.
as for the character management stuff apparently the massive amount of uploading and maintaining of individuals stuff is a much higher level than even their most optomistic plans called for which has caused numerous technical issues in that area.
