it seems that every game i've bought for that last year on my consoles crashes at least once in a day, or once in an hour!... Mostly with the cross console games!  And mostly for PS3....  All of my PS3 exclusives seem to only crash maybe... once a month?  if that!  Bioware needs to keep the limitations of Each System in mind when Cross Console...ing a game!

Skyrim was terrible for PS3 once your save file exceeded like.... 10mb in size, up from the 2mb your game starts at...

Fortunately Bethesda fixed that issue with a programming patch, Something about the game missuing the systems RAM.  Runs beautifully now.

Dragon Age 2 would crash once an hour randomly, weither there was action or not. Thank god for the 4 auto save files!

Really? I played on my old cobbled-together PC and didn't have crashing problems. I did have a couple of "freezes" related to cut-scene dialog, but it was addressed in a patch.

If this crashing issue was endemic for large numbers of PS3 users, they probably would have addressed it, no? Maybe the problem is with YOUR PS3.

Maybe it's your console...did you think of that?

Freezing is usually attributed to overheating. Trust me, consoles do this a lot with their crappy cooling architecture. Sometimes it's software related but if it's doing it in every game you play...it's console. Trust me.

Best way to fix that is take it apart and clean any dust out...especially around fans. If you have the knowledge...install your own cooling in the system too. Because the default cooling they use, isn't great at all. It's only adequate to get the job done. Anybody with PC knowledge will tell you that console temps wouldn't fly on any PC enthusiasts PC...

Heat degrades the life of your parts too, even when it's at acceptable temps. Acceptable doesn't mean optimal. Just keep that in mind.

DA2 freezed and lagged my computer alot mustly was disconecting from server even after I pressed " do not connect".. annoyed me alot, I hate when it forced a connection.

DAO had alot of memory leaks going from one side of the map to another could take 7-10 minutes, had to restart the computer every 45 minutes.

I hate to say it, but while Bioware has fascinicating, compelling stories their programming skills and testing leave a heck of a lot to be desired. Their games have consistent issues with game-breaking glitches, save corruption,  broken save imports, freezes/crashes, and horrible loading times(loading times should not need filler to make them worthwhile). I often wonder if they shouldn't either fire their programmers and testing staff and start from scratch or make them go through some serious computer programming classes until they get their act together.

They are still great games, but the grief we fans have had to go through to play them is just not acceptable from any product, even if it is a product we otherwise love. If it were any other kind of product and not a video game, they would have had to face lawsuits by now. It's unacceptable and yet it still keeps happening.

Please believe me when I say I mean this as constructive criticism, not an attack, but Bioware staff, please get your act together. I truly believe you are capable of much better work than your current track record shows.
