Indoctrination theory ending
- Mentioned “artistic integrity” will look like art as they can argue with references
throughout the trilogy
- Creating additional mission compared in size and complexity to Suicidal Mission in ME2
is too expensive to be free
- On the other hand, selling DLC with true ending is bad marketing strategy in long
terms for company, despite there are fans perfectly willing to pay for it
- Creates precedent – other companies may or will try to sell the story ending separately
- At least one logical paradox remains, Shepard have to recover from grave injuries
in extremely short times (could be easily avoided claiming he fallen unconscious
before he was actually hit by the beam weapon)
-Unlikely
-ME4 still possible.
Explanation ending
- I actually saw some kind of quiz, link was posted on this forum, I would like to
use as example but I can’t find it anymore…
it’s hard to explain, hopefully someone will give the link. It’s
actually best way how explained ending may turn out.
- Attempt to explain the ending will end up with “plotholes” explained with other “plotholes”
- Short slideshow is easy to make and could be given for free without being a charity
- Attempt for logical or scientific explanation is too complicated to be put into short
slideshow so “space magic” is necessary
- ME4 possible (certain circumstances), may or may not decrease sales on further sequels (people tends to forget)
Simplified ending (Reapers off switch only)
- Simply said, starchild sequence cut off, after resolving the situation with Illusive,
Citadel Arms opening, Crurible Docks, light pulse, Reapers turned off, Mass
Relay shrug it off after a short energy burst. Short slideshow follows describing
aftermath of Reaper Wars.
- Cheap, simple, but with Crucible plot inevitable (syndrome of too powerful enemy)
- It invalidates content (even if small portion of it) of two millions sold copies
of the game without the DLC, that could or could not be a problem (for company)
- ME4 possible
Apocalypse ending
- Same as explained but entirely pessimistic tone
- Shepard could die during the charge and starchild is only last hallucination if dying
man, thus logic is kept
- Everything but a isolated colonies is burned by supernova blast of the mass relays, even
without the blast death by starvation, galaxy dark age.
- ME4 Impossible (world players are familiar with ends so it is impossible to be sold
as sequel)
- Majority of audience wants either happy or at least bittersweet ending with glimpse of
hope
