Now, I have heard of people meleeing at someone DURING a wave if they're encroaching on that person's "territory" or whatever. But in general, melee/heavy melee DURING a wave is probably negative... but after a wave/between waves, it's chest-bumps/fistbumps/high fives.
I meleed a guy on bronze once, during a wave. He was new (<20N7, character level matched his N7, low points,) and kept hiding in cover away from the enemies. I kept it up until he began to do it back and chase me. Led him to the enemies, used stasis bubble and then wobbled back and forth until he got the hint and killed them. He topped the scoreboard after that and followed my adept around, killing everything I stasised.
...That was a good match.

Okay, I have started doing something that, at first, I was not even consciously aware I was doing. Then, I noticed it the other night and wondered if it was a good thing or a weird thing.
You see, I started out on this game a scared little newbie cowering in Bronze and learning from the veterans. Tried Silver a few times, got slaughtered. Figured I would be a Bronzer for life. Then, PS3 was included on the gold weekend challenges and I put on my big girl panties. Gained some confidence. Now, I basically live in Silver and feel pretty darn competent most of the time (I say "most of the time" because I am NOT capable of totally soloing, so when things start going to heck and the teammates go down before I can save them, I usually can't be the hero). However, I only ever roll in Silver (or Gold) as my Turian Sentinel because that is just the guy who fits me like a glove.
But I still pop into Bronze, usually when trying out a new character. Case in point, I unlocked a Batarian Soldier the other night. Now, my soldier class is sitting at 18, so I had lots of points to spend on him. But I'd never played him before, so I took my new Batarian for a test drive in Bronze.
And that's when I noticed something I'd started doing lately. If I'm a higher level like that and everyone else is small N7 (like N7 12/Level 12), I will purposely shoot targets down to just a few bars of health left and then stop, letting the lower levels finish them off. Still ended up top of the scoreboard -- not intentionally -- but at first it was something I was doing without even being aware of it. Then, when I noticed, I kinda felt like I was being a momma tiger: bringing in half-dead, wounded prey for my cubs to practice their killing skills on.
Weird? Or kind of cool? Or totally unhelpful and I should just stop?
Also, would be cool to get some PSN names out of this thread... love good teammates who work together, and that's what this thread is all about promoting.
*fistbumps*
LOL I was doing that yesterday actually... played with some low level players and so tried to let them have their kills or help them with other enemies but would try not to kill the enemy completely, letting them finish it.
You can add me, same name as my profile here.

It is always nice to do a match with people that try to play as a team, even if it is not always successful.
This. Looking out for each other is a lot more satisfying than playing with 3 lone -wolves.

Today's Honorary Fistbump Up The Butt goes to the Geth Hunter who removed his Cloak of Invisiblity right in front of me just as I was about to fire a missile at his two Prime friends.
Bastard.

Until this moment, I hadn't even dared to think that such an engineer actually exists. A true unicorn.
I tell you, it's no picnic to be a SE teamed with a DA, AA and AAJ... Every single time I had to check: it is reaved, is it warped?...
Still, my decoy managed to distract more than one banshee!

regardless, On Gold matches I almost always stay a little distance from the "kneeling" team member and aggro the enemies my way then cloak when crap gets insane, which usually marks the "kneeling" bro is already retreating to the other kneeling spot.
kudos to THEM for getting the objective done asap. =D

Saving a team mate from a banshee's embrace of death.
Finishing off a charging Brute.
Taking out Turrets
Krogans, when there is one on the team I know it is going to be a good game.

And we also had a gold game on FBW/Gold/Cerberus. Our Asari Adept was supposedly a heartless commando/ardat yakshi or something, because she never revived us. Our geth infiltrator was a stoic machine. Our Krogan Vanguard was MWHAAERARHARGH, CHARGE THEM ACROSS THE MAP AND DIE!
I was that retarded, honorable turian guy who would run his ass off into the enemies detonate his assault armor and revive you, even if that means going down himself(you, retarded krogan, you, asari ****)
