Getting the hang of the new Phoenix Adept.

So I was walking along slinging people two and fro when the Banshee showed up. Batarian decided he'd try and punch her face in. After a few seconds of dueling she finally grabbed him and started to nom him.

Didn't even see me comin' from behind.

One quick smash from the rear and I shook him loose from her death grip. She tried to turn on me but another smash to the face followed by the Batarian getting his act together and nailing her with the ballistic blades and she was down for the count.

Brute then tried to ninja me. Didn't end well for him ether.

Flash forward to another match. Firebase Dagger. Joined in at wave one to find some poor Salarian Infiltrator holding his own against the Geth.

We tore them up for 8 waves just me and him until a Prime got lucky and bum rushed us breaking our line letting the Pyros finally get a crack at us.

Best match I ever played. Props to the Salarian for holding the line with me.

There was that gold round yesterday on firebase giant vs geth; my vanguard did not die once, zipped accross the map while having long range cover fire from the rest of the team. And as a plus, I managed over 10 grabkills by charging into the right place, going into cover and just pick them off one by one. Man, that felt good.

Unlocked Vorcha soldier and decided to take it for a ride. Fun times.

I tend to throw myself at the objectives seeing as I can regenerate health, so the others can take cover and whatnot, but at one point we had to carry an object back to the landing pad. Unfortunately with it being so new, you get tons of folks just loitering right behind the carrier, like ducklings or something.

I wasn't having any of that, and literally tore a lane through the enemy, cutting down swathes of troopers and leaving a nice open lane for them to progress through. I turned back at the landing pad and noticed they had only made it halfway by the time I ran out of things to kill. So I sped off to find some snipers to slaughter.

I saw a pair of Vorcha in my latest game. They tore the map apart, dominating it completely. Those two Flamers ripped Banshees to shreads with ease.
I almost felt sorry for the Reapers.

Knocking cerberus assault troopers off the very high ledge/gun barrel (to the right of the extraction zone) with throw on FB Giant Tuchanka. They go flying. If I've got time for for a BE, all the better!

When we're playing one of the higher difficulties and I'm running towards one of the 'kneel down and use a laptop' objectives with my Engineer who doesn't really have much brutish firepower or a HP... and an Asari runs up next to me, slams up a force field around me. Or a Krogan running up to serve as my meat shield while I finnish the objective and the proceeds to follow me to the next objective as protection.

That just puts me in a good mood. It feels like we're in a buddy cop movie.

Yesterday I had a good streak of gold games with the same group of players. I only play randoms so it doesn't happen that often. Anyway, there were 2 infils, 1 sentinel/adept and me with various soldier setups. I think 3-4 extractions or at least full credits in a row. Good team synergy, people constantly checking flanks, prioritising objectives over kills and generally playing well together without using mics. Very smooth games and generally very fun to play. Thank you guys!

Then a vanguard came along who would die a lot, never use medi-gel and forced others to use their consumables (I got really pissed) but that's another story....

I had a smile in my last game last night... I was across the map doing the objective and got caught out by a Hunter. I died, and straight away the Hunter went to stamp on me. While I was fumbling to find my 7 my vanguard team mate stormed across and slammed the hunter out of stamping mode.

showing some randoms on silver how to properly use the missile launcher (aim at your enemies feet) - after that we were all mopping up the Geth by wave 11...perfect extraction.

Finding out arc grenades with maxed out radius have enough reach to hit enemies under the control room floor on dagger.

Nothing better than having a Biotic Buddy that knows you are not trying to steal kills. I have found a new Joy and that is following around a VanGuard and reaving everything with my AJ. Or running up to a revive a fallen squadmate and throwing up the Sphere and hearing the wonderful sound of a BE going off at the same time.
