I could've participated this weekend. Though I was under the influence of my yearly "replay Metal Gear Solid 4" phase sooo....
And we've almost always gotten one Drunk Turian story for every special weekend. Where's this one?

The most memorable was this in in Jade against Reapers. Wow, I did not think I would last, but since the team I was in acted like a mobile death squad, we succeeded! But there was this one dude that messaged me rudely... for reasons unknown... I mean, I was helping out the team... But, whatever! It does not kill the fact that the match was awesome!
It was funny, too. I was trying to save a team mate getting a group hug from three brutes. Pulled my last rocket out, and fired. Since it was the day they got rid of the charge up time for the rockets, I accidentally killed the swarmers crawling in front of the brute... Oh, the embarrassment!

Unfortunately, though the Drunk Turian Sentinel did the best he could for the allied goal, he has no amazing stories of death-defying heroics from this weekend. Was just another "day at the office". LOL
However, I do have a good story from my Geth Engineer from last night!
So, my husband FINALLY unlocked the Kroguard he has been wanting (thus completing his Holy Krogan Trinity) and he wanted to try it out and get the hang of it in Bronze with me. I hadn't played my Gethgineer in FOREVER and was in the mood, so I dusted him off. We played several matches together before he popped off to go cook dinner (yes, we role-reverse that and it is awesome! LOL). I was feeling laid back, so I decided to play a few more Bronze matches and see if I could run across any really low N7s I could help out.
The rookie-hunting wasn't stellar, but I did find one room that looked interesting, so I stuck around. Ended up being Geth at Dagger... I honestly don't remember the room make-up (since I hopped around several lobbies last night). But I do remember there was a vorcha, so I tried to give him space to get his kills and keep his blooodlust going.
On one of the objective waves, we had to disable four devices. While the other three ran around the map being awsome decoys, I ran to each objective, placed my geth turret to watch my back, and disabled them. As I reach the third object, in the long hallway between the circular room and the catwalks on the left side of the map, I hear the vorcha go down on Darkside just outside and down from my window containing the objective. I look out there while charging up my geth plasma shotgun and see one of our teammates running from the LZ area towards our fallen comrade, but I can also barely see a geth trooper's head above the crate that's blocking most of my view. The teammate wasn't gonna make it there in time before execution. In desperate hope, I aim at the tiny portion of geth head I can see through the window (hovering just over our fallen vorcha) and fire... and I actually manage to kill the would-be executioner! I then immediately fire my geth turret, which is specced for shield restoration, so that the vorcha can immediately get his shields back after revival, and I then proceed to cap the objective. The whole thing went down in seconds, but I felt LIKE A BOSS headshotting that trooper through the window, saving my vorcha teammate, throwing him a shield turret, and then capping the objective. Felt like my Gethgineer shoulda put on some sunglasses and lit a cigarette after that. LOL
Less impressive, but equally fun, was Geth at Ghost in a different Bronze room. Had a squishy drell in there who was always instantly losing his shields. I hung near him the whole game and every time his character yelled about his shields going down, I popped my turret at his feet. Dude kept looking at me like, "Thanks, man!" Felt good. Love support characters.

Love this!!!
I (reluctantly) share my account with my husband, so it's awesome to hear of another married couple playing the game together. I'm trying to convince him tothat a 3rd gaming PC really is a necessity
Anyway. I digress.
What puts me in a good mood is playing game after game with randoms and then finding someone you really "click" with. Had that happen a few weeks ago. Decided to do just a few practice runs trying different builds and chars, etc... So I dropped into a lobby where there was a guy with N7 3500+ and I went "Oh cr**!" Anyway, I stayed, even though I was scared to death, and we ended up working so well together. Played mostly silvers, just trying out new weapons and characters, and maybe a couple of Golds. Didnt' say a word throughout. Played like that for about 3 hours. Was so very awesome. Felt we'd been playing together for months. Eventually I sent him a FR which he accepted and we paly together quite a bit now. So yea, finding rare games and players like that puts me in a good mood

Had that happen last night. Drunk Turian Sentinel went out for a spin with some friends. Slot opened up and we decided to invite my husband in (as he yells from across the house, "Invite me, please!"
Prior to this game, I had only ever done Gold with my Turian Sentinel and full equipment... and usually not completely blitzed like I was by the end of last night. Now, I was doing Gold as a Drunk Krogan Vanguard who totally forgot to equip anything other than the Stronghold gear I already had on. We got Reapers at Vancouver and it was just amazing. Killing everything and charging everywhere... I actually forgot it was Gold. I went to check the score randomly before Wave 8 and actually commented, "Oh, wow, forgot we switched to Gold. Feels like Silver." My husband grumpily responds, "Doesn't feel like Silver to me!" LOL But we got full extraction.
Went even crazier and did the same set-up of characters, switching to White/Geth/Platinum. My poor, poor husband's first Platinum game ever. But we made it all the way to Wave 8, even with the team handicapped by drunk inexperience (my husband) and just plain drunk (me) and spending the majority of the game running around instead of hunkered behind the counters. LOL
Hubby had enough and left, but I stuck around for a few more Silvers after that. Ended the night on Cerberus/Rio/Gold, which was loads of fun, actually. My mic died by then, so I couldn't communicate, sadly. But we demolished it and would have had a full extraction had I tried to run to the LZ down the other path (I took the longer one and ran face-first into Phantoms and an Atlas... I didn't die, but I couldn't get around them, so I was stranded at Rio, LOL). But again, felt more like Silver than Gold.
The sad part about all this? Watch me play some Gold sober later today and end up sucking. Bwa-hahaha....

Because its a NICE topic. Its nice to have nice topics since most are negative, or some type of criticism, or a rant from some angry person, either in MP, or some leftovers from "the ending sucks" group. Even tho games been out for months and isn't gonna change for them. EC is done. Move on.
I don't remember the last time I posted here, but thank you again TC for this.
OT- I have tried listening to peaceful, relaxing music while fighting in MP, weird I know- But it put me in a good mood
Like this girl. Soothing. Todd Howard needs to put her in the next DLC as a character or something heh.

Krogan Rescues.
So much fun.
Was in a room last night that decided to bump up from Silver to Gold. I wasn't paying attention and didn't notice this at the time (nobody had readied up, so the change was even less noticeable). Room contained an N57 Salarian Engineer while the rest of us were triple-digit N7... which I know doesn't mean much, other than the double-digit hadn't been playing quite as long as us yet (sorry, I do consider you "young" game-wise until you're N7120, then all bets are off).
Anywhos, I had just played the previous round (Geth/Vancouver/Silver) with these guys testing out my new batarian sentinel I just unlocked. Did okay, but think I prefer the soldier version. The room leader, a krogan sentinel, shot me a congratulatory message on having a good game (it ended up being a bit of a revive-fest and I did my part for that and objectives). Shot a message because nobody else had mics and I was too lazy to grab mine off the charger. I thought that was nice of him, so I changed to my krogan sentinel and figured we'd do some nice pre-wave headbutting for the next match (He did not return the headbutts. Pity.).
That was when I didn't see the room change to Gold. Oops.
So, no equipment except my gear slot since I thought we were still in Silver. Round starts and we get Cerberus/White. Nobody is dashing off to hide behind counters, so I remain under the impression that it's Silver. Granted, I notice the enemies don't seem to be taking quite as much damage as I thought they should, but I just shrugged it off.
The good mood part came when the poor Salarian went down almost immediately on Wave 1. When I saw it was Cerberus, I had stayed down in the LZ and made it my melee killing grounds. I heard the Engineer fall upstairs and turned in his direction. Right off the bat, I saw a trooper beelining over to execute him. I ran as fast as my krogan feet could fly and ended up having an epic scene of Perfect Timing: just as the trooper came to a hovering stop over the Salarian's body and was getting ready to hike his leg, I came blowing in from behind with an almighty heavy melee back-hand. Sent the trooper screaming and flying a mile away, then stooped down and told my teammate to "Quit whining." LOL
That was awesome and felt good.
Rest of the match didn't go so well. By Wave 4, everyone else died and I was left to solo the wave. Still thinking this was Silver, I was nonplussed about it. Thought there was an unusual amount of Phantoms by the third one I rocketed (I do not play with those hags. Rocket to the face every time). By the end of soloing the wave, I HAD to check the game screen because it had to have been Wave 7 or 8. Really. Saw it was Wave 4! Thought I had lost my mind a moment, then saw the difficulty was Gold. Oh. Well. Guess that would do it. Sure wish I hadn't blown all those rockets earlier. LOL Everyone went down again on Wave 5 and left me by myself. Again. And while I can do decently enough in U/U/G if I am AWARE it is Gold and actually put on equipment/adjust my aggressive playstyle... I ain't good enough to carry a team by myself at that level. We wiped.
But the rescue of the Salarian was awesome.

Though I must say that I looove my N7 Paladin. That bro is awesome. Snap Freeze, shield bash, snap freeze, shield bash etc etc. First thing I do after a long hiatus from the game is buying a pack and getting this guy. And he is bloody amazing.
If I could, I would give him the fistbump of the day.

More health and shields? Sure! More encumbrance? You mean I can now have a 200% cooldown with my Mattock? To quote Elaine from Seinfeld, "Shut UP!"

I haven't found any good people to play with lately. Mostly they just lag out leaving me alone in the middle of a wave, having not stuck around long enough for me to form an opinion about them.
It's a shame.
