Last night fighting geth put me in a good mood. I used my female human engineer with both overload and drone specced for max chain and Vera had disruptor ammo. So much electricity, so many dead geth, it was glorious. My fave moment was making a prime dance by chain overloading all his drones every time he redeployed them. After a couple of min of this I just incinerated/shot away all his armour to put him out of his misery. Having a competent pug team also helped, they dealt with the others while I was torturing the prime.

All right, since there was a special request last night for another Drunk Turian Sentinel Tale of Glory...

You know what puts me in a good mood, BSN? Putting down Phantoms.

Weekend operation. Cerberus. Glacier. Gold.

Playing with friends, not camping/farming but running around wreaking havoc. I am my usual Drunk Turian Sentinel and one of my friends is a Salarian Infiltrator. Two other friends are also in the room, although I can't remember the characters they chose for that round.

The Salarian is at the top of the stairs in between the upper lab and the farming room. I'm at the bottom of those same stairs, crowd-controlling half of the bottom basement area. I hear the Salarian cry out in pain and the all-too-familiar pew-pew-pew of those Palm Cannons of Imminent Demise. I turn to my left and look up the stairs just in time to see the Salarian fall... but, thankfully, not insta-killed. However, he can't medigel because the two Phantoms that tag-teamed have gone invisible and are hiding in the farming room ready to "farm" anyone who comes to revive him.

We both try to warn our friends over our mics, but they either didn't hear or were too worried about reviving the Salarian. As I start creeping up the stairs to hunt Phantoms, a friend comes barreling out of the upper lab and revives the Salarian. Naturally, this draws both Phantoms out of hiding and each one picks one of my friends. I cast Overload to try and Neural Shock them in some way, while also pumping away on my trusty, old Mattock. Somehow, in the ensuing chaos, I managed to headshot not one but BOTH Phantoms, one of them as she was literally starting to impale the Salarian on her sword. It was amazing. The Salarian actually tells me over the mic that he saw her sword on his chestplate right before she died. There were fun jokes about my preventing Salarian Shish-Kabob for the rest of the match. LOL

Also, I have a new favorite Heroic Save. Before, it was whenever a trooper (Cerberus or Geth) is about to execute a friend, and I stun them with Overload, pick them off, then pick my teammate up. However, experienced a LOT of would-be Atlas executions this weekend. There is something exhilarating about reviving a squadmate right underneath an Atlas, then taking a step back, hitting it with my maxed-out Warp, and spraying it with bullets enough to distract it away from my teammate -- focusing the Atlas aggression on my tanky Turian while allowing my teammate to roll to safety. Awesomeness.

Thanks for the buffs, Bioware. I am putting them to good use. Image IPB

You had to mention Phantoms, didn't you Dragon?
Now I have to remember our last escort mission on gold last night. Sooo many Phantoms...
They haunted my dreams.

Good thing I said that thing about prefering Phantoms over Primes. Glad that didn't come back to bite me in the ass.

That was both soooo funny and soooo ridiculous, though. LOL

But we made it through! *fistbumps the Paladin*

Since I normally have major problems facing Reapers, I get a really good feeling when we successfully pull off an extraction on Gold. So many Banshees... but a few nights ago, I joined a PUG and we got them on Glacier. I was a Turian Sentinel teamed up with a Demolisher, Asari Justicar and an N7 Fury. So we took the fight to the Banshees and managed to hold them off.

I'm not sure if I made it out, but if not, I hope my sacrifice will be honoured in the coming empire. In any case, I felt great afterwards.

Also when I'm the N7 Destroyer, I run a Phantom Removal Agency. It's quite thrilling.

Imagine, you're hunting a Phantom for a few minutes. In that time, it's taken out two teammates. You see it. Line it up (with the Geth Plasma Shotgun). Take the shot(s). BLAM! It's dead, you're the hero. And it's on to the next wave.

Hurricane to the face. Doesn't matter who.

I'm very disappointed we don't have an option of a one-use shotgun for some Hicks style 'close encounters'.

As a Paladin Sentinel, seeing a player disarming a device with a turret in view, and going in to block the fire!

75% of the time, I'll always shield a teammate during that objective when using the Paladin.

Operation Patriot, eh? Sounds fun.
I wonder how many of those teams will be all Krogan.

What puts me in a good mood is when the objective rounds go smoothly. Especially the escort ones since about 95% of the time the escort route goes straight into enemy spawns.

What puts me in a good mood is operations where I can really help.

Aided four different people today with the squad goal (Creepter, you are my first "date" for that when I am back in town on Sunday. Sorry I wasn't able to pull you in tonight. Image IPB ). And what was even cooler was that, no matter whether I made a two-man Bronze room to pull them in or they invited me to their two-man Bronze, everyone switched almost immediately to a Turian. Even though I was totally willing to run whatever alien they needed (other than Drell, which I am utterly dreadful with), my reputation as the Drunk Turian Sentinel apparently precedes me. That made me smile.

What also put me in a good mood was a friend of a friend (who is now my friend as well, LOL) recognizing me from the forum. Asked if he was in the presence of a "BSN Celebrity". I LOLed so hard. Made my night. *chuckles*

Finally, what put me in a good mood was demolishing a butt-ton of Atlases. Between the Gold and Platinum games I managed to get in, I don't feel so bad about not being able to contribute tomorrow (but will again on Sunday!!). I pulled a fair weight today. Huzzah for vacation days from work to actually put in extra operation hours. Image IPB

I was hoping for a Krogan team but got Asari and Turian PUGs. I'm really bad with Asari and it was a gold game.
Anyway, I like same race teams somehow,  I don't even know why. It puts me in a good mood.
They seem to be easier  than regular mixed races games to me. 4 Asari e.g. means lots of explosions :)

Being worried about getting a single alien race squad for Operation Patriot and getting it done with the first lobby I enter.

It puts me in a good mood when after about two waves into a match with a mic-less squad, everybody just magically starts working together. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it feels awesome. Thanks goes out to all those mic-less players that get it.

Haha! Since this "date" is getting you a commendation pack, I don't think you'll have to worry about any jealous, angry Krogan hunting you down. LOL Image IPB
