Not really, Creepter and I have pretty much been keeping this thread alive quite regularly, with the helpful contributions of many others.

No massive necro here... just one of the longest-running continuously-relevant threads on BSN.

I'm fairly sure that Bioware is out to get me. What appears to be the biggest challenge is thrown out JUST after my PS3 breaks. I smell a conspiracy.


We need some good Lodestar stories.

I have a bit of a good Lodestar story. My good buddy Rad_Rage had never played Platinum before, but I knew he had the talent to handle it easily. So, I hooked up with another of my A-Team buddies, one of his friends, and Rad, and we proceeded to pop Rad's Platinum cherry - with Collectors, no less!

He did just as well as I figured he would. And we proceeded to be a wrecking ball of destruction in the rest of the Plats, including one Cerberus/Glacier match that ended up being only 16 minutes. Kinda-sorta-speedrun. LOL

However, a far more amusing story I have is from last weekend... I had forgotten to post it here, but it is worthy. I am grinding out challenges on my way to my coveted FemShep Best of the Best banner. I decided to work on both biotic mastery and Earth mastery, so I pulled out the Fury, which I had never actually played before.

So, I went into a Silver PUG. And proceeded to meet a Krogan Warlord who apparently fell madly in love with my Fury.

It was Cerberus/Dagger. Wave 3 hack on the catwalk to the left of the main building. The other two teammates are shooting things, I am throwing Dark Channel out, and then I notice something. A giant shadow standing over me. I slowly turn around and see the Krolord just standing there looking down at me. He then starts headbutting me. I light melee my Fury so that she does her little cheerleader dance thingie. And we proceed to dance together for the remainder of the hack.

After that, the Krolord followed my Fury around the map like a lovesick puppy, helping mop up the spawns I was running into and biotically exploding everywhere, picking me up whenever I fell, and just being a general bodyguard. And after every wave, he'd do a mix of headbutting and hammer-pounding, and I'd do a mix of light melee dances and heavy melee teleportation - the latter of which was funny because my Fury would basically teleport through him and appear on the other side, and I'd see the Krolord slowly turn around to face her again and continue proclaiming his love.

The saves were so awesome, too. Mashing the X button, getting ready to gel because I am about to be executed, then Krolord would rush in with his mighty Thor hammer and send the would-be killer flying away, then stooping down and reviving his Fury girlfriend. And my returning the favor when he tried to hammer a Banshee. I already knew what was coming, so I had my missile launcher out and ready for when she inevitably grabbed him... and I took her out. It was so cute seeing the Krolord stand up a little stunned at being alive, then turning to my Fury and running up to her like he's gonna pick her up and crush her in a hug. So. Gosh-darn. CUTE.

This went on for at LEAST 4 or 5 matches before I finally was forced out of the room due to a post-match "waiting for other players" purgatory screen. But that was hilarious, fun, and sweet. Easily the best "10 extractions with a character" challenge I have done yet!

That Krolord must have been related to Charr somehow. I half expected him to start shouting poetry about setting roots on hot Tuchanka at my Fury.

I just finished the Reaper Platinuem requiremet as a Volues vanguard on Rio with not one but two Geth Juganuts and a Geth Infeltrator. I powered up my Volues to just regeneate shields and stay alive. Even though no one had mics  every thing worked out. We started huddeled in that one area of Rio that everyone hunkers down at when doing Rio platinuem. Then by wave 5 the Juggarnauts and Infeltrator pushed up to the stairs I followed staying behined one of the Juggarnatus at all times or cloaking all the while reenergizing all of our shield every 20 seconds. I had the lowest score when we exsteaced but thats okay I'm preety sure me spamming my shield power probably help keep the team operational for the match.

I've always liked being a supporter in MP games where it's possible. In the first multiplayer game I really got into, I was a good medic and the occasional sniper. So I enjoying playing a volus. Though I don't do it too often. I tend to be unable to drop the "shoot everything" mentality.

I should try doing a serius support-volus on gold or something when I get my PS3 back from the repair place.

I love objective waves on my paladin. I just like putting my shield down in front of people. It works great right after I res them.

It's Creepter. I don't mind playing some games but my PS3 is being repaired and I'm not sure when it's going to be finished. I've also gotten a new job that leaves me pretty tired at the evenings. Unless you're European, finding a good time to game might be problematic.

Yeah, they always wipe your stuff when they go to the repair factory.

The timing is pretty funny, though. You got your PS3 back today and I just got my Elgato game capture card here at work about an hour ago. Now, to find the time to figure out how to make it work...

I like to do this with Hex Shields. Blocking atlas missiles, banshee warps, or other small arms fire.
