Actually, scratch that part about my acting participation. At least for the time being. It seems like my PS3 still doesn't want to truly come back to life yet. I could at least start a game up and play for a few hours but now we're back to square one.

**** it, I'm just gonna buy a new one. Image IPB

First good mood video? First good mood video

I was PUGing Silver this weekend while continuing to work on challenges. Figured I'd work some more on Geth Trooper waves and try out the Geth Pulse Rifle. That thing is God-awful, by the way, as you'll clearly see in the above video.

But that's not the point. The point is I landed in a Silver lobby, we all played a game, then two players left... to be replaced by an N7 21 and an N7 23 human soldiers. The host put a kick next to one of the newbies. I readied up. It's Silver, for cryin' out loud. If he didn't think the two of us veterans could carry them through Silver, then that's sad. Since I was obviously not going to help him kick, the host threw a tantrum and left. The two newbies stayed, lobby made me the leader, we picked up a fourth, and off we went.

Collectors/Goddess. During Wave 1, the fourth either quit or got disconnected and we picked up a new one (you can see me check the scoreboard after that bit of lag, to see who we'd lost).

On Wave 5, things go sideways. Everyone is dying. I make the fatal mistake of jumping right instead of left, get planted to cover on an ammo box, and promptly die to 8 million Possessed Scion grenades. 100% my fault, I wasn't thinking clearly. The N7 23, bless his heart, revives me without realizing what happens when you rez someone underneath a Praetorian... yup, literally nothing I could do. I stand up into an automatic sync-kill.

Leaving the N7 23 to clutch the wave by himself. I figure we're gonna have a wipe, but lets see what happens. With me helping guide him over the mic (halfway through, he put his mic on and could then ask me direct questions, which was very cool), he did very well and succeeded... totally clutched it like a boss.

I was impressed and felt he earned some recognition. There is hope, folks, for the newbies! Image IPB

And now a quiet minute for all our juggernaut brothers who didn't make it in time to you and never managed to get their hex shield up.

I remember one time two of my friends "Krogans" stood right in front of me took fire from a Prime and a Revenger while I "Fury" was disabling disabling a device.

That was an awesome one!

That is awesome!

However, I must say there is no hope. For every one story like that, I, or even you, could tell a dozen others where newbies wouldn't gel, rushed into the arms of a banshee/brute/ravager spawn with a phaeston 1 and a turian engiineer, who wouldn't stay in the hack circle, or etc. etc. etc.

For the first time ever last night I stopped playing after one match. It just isn't fun playing without decent teammates. I don't even mean GOOD teammates, just DECENT teammates.

Yes I have a friends list blah blah blah, still, it's bleak out there. Very very bleak.

For a good time, click here!

^^^ What puts me in a good mood is friends reunited like old times. Granted, Creepter's little Volus tends to run laps around my Turian Sentinel, but since I'm still working on challenges, he had to settle for a female Turian for now. Image IPB

Two things I like about this video (besides my plodding, meandering way of still trying to figure out How To Cabal Effectively):

1. It shows my rampant husk problem, which is being a husk magnet at all times when I'm trying to bring down bigger enemies (this has plagued me my whole MP ME3 career), usually a minimum of 2 to 3 husks chasing me at any given time.

2. At 17:18, I show a clear way of bringing about good moods via epic, timely saves. No meat bracelet today, Banshee! Image IPB

When you're with other krogan at the start of the map (or for the more committed; before every round) and you start a headbutt pow-wow. Instant blood rage, nothing stands in your way.

Is that the video where my volus unloads the whole clip into the dying Banshee in revenge? 'cause I'd love to see that. Image IPB

Yup, that's the one. I don't remember the time marker of where it's at, but I caught the tail end of you doing that. LOL

Well, I'm not going to argue that particular point, but the bump should be fine as it's his thread that, while old, is still active.

Granted, it's him, me, and maybe a small handful of commentators keeping it alive, but let's not split hairs here.

What put me in a good mood this past weekend was getting to play with yet another BSNer... primarily an XBoxer, no less... on his PS3 account. Got to see Jerermiah "Field Medic" 12LGeek in action. Image IPB

I also had another heroic rescue in a PUG, which made me happy. Firebase Giant, seconds away from extraction. Three of us make it, but one poor soul gets down about 5-10 feet short of the zone. With only 10-15 seconds left, I pull out a Cobra and nuke the swarm that was on their body, so they were able to medigel and run in just in the nick of time to get a full extraction.

Felt good. Image IPB

What does balls have to do with bumping the thread? Did I miss something? Image IPB
Granted, I haven't visited the rest of the boards seriously for ages, but I doubt that Bioware has started to throw old topics into the rancor pit just to be jerks.

Either ways, this topic isn't going anywhere. While I might forget to bump it for a few days, I'm not going to abandon it. We're going to keep on talking about good moods until the MP servers shut down. Image IPB

Dragon, I've got a couple of free nights coming up in a day or two. You; me; some headbutts; big guns. Yes?

Jedi's been saying that same line to everybody that's been necroing threads lately. I think he assumed you were necroing because of how old this thread is, but the last update was only 6 days ago, not like 6 months or something, so... *shrugs*

And yes, I am always up for headbutts and big guns. Been too long since I rolled a Krogan... need to rectify this.

Despite my free nights, we didn't get a chance to play. That should be illegal.

If you're going to resurrect a thread, at least contribute to the discussion.

End of line.
