What usually puts me in a good mood is when I have an enemy's head lined up in my sights. I pull the trigger and watch the head fly off and up pops the word "assist".

I just want to share this before it made me laugh, which put me in a good mood. I'm just joining random White/Geth/Gold games online (Xbox 360). I'm playing as a level 20 Geth Engineer with an N7 rating of 380. The moment I got into a game, I got the message saying I was kicked out of the game. Usually, I just fume and hit A and move on. This time, I didn't because I noticed who the other two were. Player 1 was an N7 93 playing a Level 8 Salarian Engineer, and Player 2 was an N7 134 playing a Level 6 Asari Vanguard.
All I can think is that they were worried I would turn on them and start attacking them with the other Geth.

A few days ago myself and two friends were playing public when we met up with an N7 14 n00b. Didn't have a clue what they were doing -- sniper rifle and shotgun on an Adept, on Silver? We just shrugged and decided we could handle it.
They were decent with a sniper rifle, not that good but got some good shots in. The best I saw was a triple kill with one bullet. Though they kept shooting my GE. On round four they finally wandered off on their own and went down. We didn't even think -- I tossed out my turret just in time for it to stagger the geth that was going to stop on them. A moment later, the KS's rocket cleared the immediate area before he charged in to draw aggro. The AJ and myself (GE) show up at the body at the same time, so the AJ drops a bubble while I kneel to get them back up. Just as they start getting to their feet, my turret sets off its shield restore, bringing up all our shields.
Later, we got a message saying that this was the first game where anybody had ever gotten her back up, and that she'd gotten kicked out of every other Silver game she'd tried. She was going back to Bronze, but she wanted to thank us.
We all smiled a little before sending our replies. I'll let you guess which was which.
"The Code demands that I help my allies in combat."
"This platform is designated to assist allies who oppose the Heretics. The pleasure is ours."
"I'll always take another set of eyes to watch my back, human!"
To be honest, I kind of wish that we would have stuck with her to help show her the ropes and how to work with a team, invited her into the party. Or at least gotten to see her reaction to those messages. But her thanks left me with warm fuzzies that lasted until halfway into the next match.

I've been thinking about the single player campaign and the pathetic ending again today and that made me angry and upset as usual.
So this needs a bump to make things cheery again. >.>

Or when you're cloaked, and the other guy stands over you to provide rocket splash damage.
I did this when I was a noob!

Not sure if i've ever been helped like this, but i try to throw some explosive ballistic blades into enemies while others are arming things or trying to get from point A to B. It helps a bunch, just wished others did the same sometimes...

It's always nice when people play as a team. You know, the way the game was MEANT to be played.

I love this thread. For the team-friendly co-op players out there, if I'm playing I'm there for the squad, not the personal points. I'll heal you when you fall, clear that mess of Cannibals that are about to nail your back as you solo the Brute, use a turret to cover one corridor while I get the other as you load that terminal, add some firepower when the pack gets too thick, and hopefully see you at the Extraction point for the full team retrieval ... high fives all round. I loves me some teamwork.
I may also accidentally nab your odd kill here and there ... but I honestly think I'm helping take down the enemy - not poaching!

Yeah, I was having a really good time with my Justicar adept where I'd pop a bubble next to our infiltrator, and then pull and reave **** for our krogan vanguard to charge and explode. When that kind of thing gets on its rhythm properly, it's immensely satisfying

Ha! Genius. It is funny to see the difference between 4 players working together and 4 trying to solo. I remember charging through a run at Firebase Glacier with a Krogan vanguard, an asari adept and a dude playing a human soldier (!) and these three put up a WALL of fire. I've never seen such merciless co-ordinated destruction of the enemy - everyone had everyone's back. I just had to applaud. I was along for the ride and loving every minute. No one fell in the whole game. First and only time I've seen that. I salute thee!

I remember playing a Justicar the other night and one dude (who's talking to his family the whole time), stops and goes, "Oh, what's that? A shield? That's nice."
Guy also made an effort to revive and hit objectives... good group, but some guy had to wait to long and quit between rounds.

Had a match this morning with a vanguard who followed me into every corridor and used my SMG fire/turret cover/overload chains to free himself up for melee after melee. It was a brilliant tactic and he tore through the thinned enemy, stopping them from massing. His only comment as the game finished - "Dude's, that was the SWEETEST Cerebus ass-kicking I've ever been a part of." Shucks - makes you proud, so it does.

Most recent happy moment: staying put in a hack and watching a Batarian Soldier go out on his own to get kills. He parked in a spot and never did a 180. He didn't have to: I took out 6-7 troopers and a Centurian coming up on his six while he "got his kills".

Yeah okay, that's pretty awesome.
It's very good that this thread can always cheer me up when I get depressed after thinking too much about the ending.

Nothing makes me feel so warm and fuzzy like showing snipe-oriented infiltrators who's the boss,
dagger/gold/cerberus 4 infiltators, three of them (black) widowing and me with claymoore.
Super longe range map and i had roughly amount of points as 2nd and 3rd place combined.

Don't you just love it when they then turn around as if to ask 'what are you shooting at? Oh.'
Yeah, good squadmates have your back.

I needed some positivity after being dropped so many times today. My one complete match had me standing in the LZ alone at the end whilst my team mates died on the other side of the map. *sadface*
This thread is my warm fuzzy. All hail the team players!

Gotta keep the love alive. Major respect to the team I played three games with this morning. No point grabbing, just pure co-op. Special respect goes to the Krogan soldier and Justicar who blew away the pack of cerebus swine that had felled me, before reviving me then proceeding to carve up an approaching Atlas while I found some cover to recharge my shields. Good, good times.

That Krogan laugh. "Ha Ha Ha! For Tuchanka!"
I especially love hearing this as he (she?) is charging at something behind me, saving me from embarrassment.

And then the pathetic corpse of whatever the Krogan charged flies past you... Glorious.

As a Justicar, my absolute favorite feeling comes after seeing a teammate race to revive a downed ally, and I follow and put up a sphere around them for extra protection before returning to cover to return fire. I don't think I've ever gotten a thank you, but it feels good nonetheless

Had a great team just now and steamrolled Gold! First time I have beat Gold as well! We worked together, covered each others backs and won!
