That Krogan laugh. "Ha Ha Ha! For Tuchanka!"
I especially love hearing this as he (she?) is charging at something behind me, saving me from embarrassment.

And then the pathetic corpse of whatever the Krogan charged flies past you... Glorious.

The best is at the LZ on Firebase White. You see a Krogan run/charge in, melee a Nemesis, and watch the body fly off the level.  Krogan are so much fun to play with, I smile whenever I see one in the lobby.

Once, I played with 3 guys from Scotland. smoothest team ever. There was this moment where I manage to surprise a phantom with my submission net and proceed to heavy melee her head straight of her body, and at the same time I hear the distinct sound of a widow to my right. I look behind me, and see another headless phantom in stabbing distance. I look up to the infiltrator and hear a "I've got your back bro" in a thick scottish accent over the chat.

I couldnt stop smiling for the rest of the match

I wish I could run into people like you guys/gals more often, almost none of my games have these kinds of moments in them. Guess I'm really unlucky with who I get teamed up with. Glad to see nice people exist at least, even if I rarely run into them :)

Im an average player who very rarely tops the score and I dont often get to be the big goddamned hero however a few days ago it was my moment.
I was playing with some argentine guys and it all went to hell on round 8(geth gold) everybody dropped like flies leaving me the little SE to face the geth horde alone.
I then proceeded to give possibly my best ever performance...my little salarian went rambo on the geth literally shredding them while my teamates shouted encouragement from behind(Capo Badpanzer!).
In the end there was just a huge pile of dead geth and one little salarian...I was so proud of myself I was walking on air.
In memory of the event I have named my SE Clint Eastwood :P

Page 8, seriously? *fistbumping* this thread of awesomeness with my own story.

First, great topic, OP! Do not see enough teamwork in this co-op multiplayer!

Had a blast the other night in a bronze room. First off, yes, I know, bronze. I am not a terribly good player and after a long day at a job that sucks the soul out of me, I just want to relax, have a beer, and kill some bad guys without stressing. So, I'm a bronze-for-lifer. And I am okay with that. I mainly try to focus on helping the new folks when I can. My main characters are support guys anyway: Turian Sentinel, Krogan Soldier, and Geth Engineer. Posted Image

So, bronze room. I'm rolling my Krogan Soldier and end up with a Turian Soldier, a Drell Adept, and a Drell Vanguard on Firebase Ghost. Immediately, the two Drell brothers run off and basically contain one side of the map by themselves. Turian goes off to that side alley on the right and I join him to help.

After a few waves, the Turian starts going down occasionally. I rez him. I also warn him when we've got folks sneaking up behind us. Not too long after, we had this cool camaraderie thing going where we had each others' backs, one deactivating a device and the other keeping watch, etc... and after each wave, my fellow soldier would heavy melee at me as the Turian equivalent of a high five, so I started Krogan headbutting him back. We kept this up after every wave, even though he didn't have a mic and couldn't communicate back with me other than character movements.

Was awesome.

I get that feeling when I play the Justicar. Biotic Sphere is like giving my teammates a big, biotic hug.

That's why I refer to it as the "cozy bubble"

Nothing like four people getting nice and comfy in that cozy bubble.

Played a few rounds with a human Vanguard. He was rather typical at first, level 13 and recklessly getting himself killed all through the first round. I supported him, rezzing him overloading his enemies before they got hit by the Vanguard hammer. Tempted to kick, the other teammates tried, I was the one saying no, both teammates left. Got a new crew.
After a few rounds, he began to learn his place as the tank of the team.
Enemies approaching the device I am arming, Vanguard wipes them out a watches out for me. Hacking objective, doesn't charge until a group of Hunters rear their ugly heads close to the objective. Enemies spawning near the objective? Vanguard just LOL's and wipes them out. Over the course of four or five silver matches, turned from being one of the worst Vanguards to being indispensable to the team. Some faith in humanity restored, ended a bad day well.

That Vanguard might have been me.  I'm sure I've played a few games with you recently and that story sounds almost identical to something I've done not too long ago (apart about the bit about being indespensible).  If it was, sorry about that.  :)  I'd just come off a long string of bad matches and just wanted to spend the first few rounds going nuts.  Glad I didn't ruin your day.

I love it when you're down and a trooper is coming up to stomp on you then right at the last minute a sniper round flies across the screen and takes him out. Also works just as well when it's a Krogan ramming in to him!

Something like that happened to me the other day.
We were in one of the later rounds, three of us in a party. Me the Salageneer, a Krogan Vanguard and an Asari Adept against some Geth.

The Asari goes down and I and the Raging Krogan rushes towards her. A Geth is about to stomp on her and we're too far away. I throw overload at it and stun it... a few seconds later the massive Rage Krogan slams into the Geth and hurls it into the other side of the room. I'm there reviving the Asary before the ex-machine hits the floor.

That was legendary. Posted Image

A few days ago myself and two friends were playing public when we met up with an N7 14 n00b. Didn't have a clue what they were doing -- sniper rifle and shotgun on an Adept, on Silver? We just shrugged and decided we could handle it.

They were decent with a sniper rifle, not that good but got some good shots in. The best I saw was a triple kill with one bullet. Though they kept shooting my GE. On round four they finally wandered off on their own and went down. We didn't even think -- I tossed out my turret just in time for it to stagger the geth that was going to stop on them. A moment later, the KS's rocket cleared the immediate area before he charged in to draw aggro. The AJ and myself (GE) show up at the body at the same time, so the AJ drops a bubble while I kneel to get them back up. Just as they start getting to their feet, my turret sets off its shield restore, bringing up all our shields.

Later, we got a message saying that this was the first game where anybody had ever gotten her back up, and that she'd gotten kicked out of every other Silver game she'd tried. She was going back to Bronze, but she wanted to thank us.

We all smiled a little before sending our replies. I'll let you guess which was which.

"The Code demands that I help my allies in combat."
"This platform is designated to assist allies who oppose the Heretics. The pleasure is ours."
"I'll always take another set of eyes to watch my back, human!"

To be honest, I kind of wish that we would have stuck with her to help show her the ropes and how to work with a team, invited her into the party. Or at least gotten to see her reaction to those messages. But her thanks left me with warm fuzzies that lasted until halfway into the next match.

:o:wub: Oh so very much this. If I got something like this, I would most definitely feel like I cured the genophage, (genuinely happy krogan are the second most adorable thing in this series hnnnng) or got the quarians and geth to live in harmony on their homeworld once more.

But yeah, anyone who actually knows what to do - that puts me in a good mood. It doesn't matter if it's as simple as giving me some space if I'm cloakcapping an objective, or detonating/priming lots of pretty explosions - or as meta as kicking the one absolute moron who thinks killstealing is even a thing. It's not. Ever. Well, if you're on different teams, it gets promoted to "legitimate strategy" but that's it.

Was this by any chance at FB Dagger? I remember playing it yesterday as a Krogan Vanguard wtih a Disciple - and I distinctly recall a low level AA (7 or 8, IDK) and a Salarian on my team. I also remember fighting geth, though I'm probably remembering things wrong.

Anyway, it makes me happy whenever my team communicates and cooperates. I was just playing a two-man bronze game with a friend of mine, and we called out all the happenings around Condor. While he was completing objectives, he'd warn me about the presence of a brute around the area. Other times, I'd purposefully draw fire away from him if he was in a hot-bed of enemies. Fuzzy camaraderie feeling follows.

Frankly, I can't recall where we were. Though if that happened recently to you then it probably wasn't me. I haven't played for like a week.

Honestly... what makes me smile is when people use rockets (unnecessary ones). Makes things a little easier on my inevitably sore trigger finger. Also nice when they get a few killstreaks going. Extra XP for my N7 level whoring azz.

When I'm tossed into a random match in the middle of the third wave and run around rezzing all the others constantly over every wave and end up doing all the objectives instead of getting any killing done.

And when on the last wave I end up cornered with no escape and fall, and suddenly the entire team is there, kicking ass, rezzing me and then covering my back all the way back to the LZ and we get a full extraction.

Playing gold with someone so much better than me, all I have to do is run around watching their back and doing objectives while they do the heavy lifting. Just played with an incredible Claymore GI on gold (Dyaheon, if you're here, you are awesome) who comfortably, comfortably outscored both me (SI, Valiant) and a HI with a Black Widow, reducing us to mop up duty. Love your work.
