One of his first teammates were one of his favourites: the giant, hulking Krogan Vanguard. Dexter quickly teamed up with the Krogan and the two of them soon kicked ass, waging war all over the map, never straying too far from each other. When the Krogan went down, Dexter was there to pick up. When Dexter froze a nasty Geth Hunter sneaking up, the Krogan would shatter the machine with his mighty fists.
Alas, the glory didn't last long. The Krogan and the other two, a human and a Quarian who had mostly been minding their own business, all passed away in a terminal case of 'randomly logging out' syndrome. Dexter was left alone, instantly surrounded by three vengeful Primes. It was not pretty and it did not last long.
RIP Krogan partner.

When we're playing one of the higher difficulties and I'm running towards one of the 'kneel down and use a laptop' objectives with my Engineer who doesn't really have much brutish firepower or a HP... and an Asari runs up next to me, slams up a force field around me. Or a Krogan running up to serve as my meat shield while I finnish the objective and the proceeds to follow me to the next objective as protection.
That just puts me in a good mood. It feels like we're in a buddy cop movie.
You all deserve a cheer.

Agree, there are lots of friendly people outside. Too bad that quite a few of them are just playing to get the most kills and ignore the objectives.

You see, I started out on this game a scared little newbie cowering in Bronze and learning from the veterans. Tried Silver a few times, got slaughtered. Figured I would be a Bronzer for life. Then, PS3 was included on the gold weekend challenges and I put on my big girl panties. Gained some confidence. Now, I basically live in Silver and feel pretty darn competent most of the time (I say "most of the time" because I am NOT capable of totally soloing, so when things start going to heck and the teammates go down before I can save them, I usually can't be the hero). However, I only ever roll in Silver (or Gold) as my Turian Sentinel because that is just the guy who fits me like a glove.
But I still pop into Bronze, usually when trying out a new character. Case in point, I unlocked a Batarian Soldier the other night. Now, my soldier class is sitting at 18, so I had lots of points to spend on him. But I'd never played him before, so I took my new Batarian for a test drive in Bronze.
And that's when I noticed something I'd started doing lately. If I'm a higher level like that and everyone else is small N7 (like N7 12/Level 12), I will purposely shoot targets down to just a few bars of health left and then stop, letting the lower levels finish them off. Still ended up top of the scoreboard -- not intentionally -- but at first it was something I was doing without even being aware of it. Then, when I noticed, I kinda felt like I was being a momma tiger: bringing in half-dead, wounded prey for my cubs to practice their killing skills on.
Weird? Or kind of cool? Or totally unhelpful and I should just stop?
Also, would be cool to get some PSN names out of this thread... love good teammates who work together, and that's what this thread is all about promoting.

Gotta love that! I have had some "off" nights where I feel like I'm dying every 30 seconds... to the point I almost want to say over the mic not to bother to revive me, I deserve to bleed out. LOL Most help me anyway. Gotta appreciate it in those humbling moments.
Will add you if you don't add me first... PSN is DragonRacer13.

Random melee spamming at each other in-between waves. They're like little hugs and even though they're randoms, it feels great

Until this moment, I hadn't even dared to think that such an engineer actually exists. A true unicorn.

Bummer that our first game turned out like that, Dragon. Me dying too many times (embarrasing actually) and you guys disconnecting. Better luck next time, I suppose.

Was glad you were able to get into my room afterward and knock out a few sessions!
No worries about dying, dude. I am no judger. I am someone who, inexplicably, attracts husks more than the average bear, so I have had PLENTY of embarrassing deaths caused by a husk dry-humping my face at the worst possible moment. LOL Besides, I like reviving others. I feel like a hero.
Catch you later! *fistbumps*

I'm a big fan as well. Either head butts from krogan or heavy melees from all other races. Very cool and very clever way to communicate a "good job" when one doesn't have a mic.

THAT'S what that means? Oh god, I've left some post-game lobbies in shame because I thought they were mad...

No worries, I used to think that, too. But if you start watching it carefully, you sometimes see two other players heavy meleeing at each other between waves and it looks like they are high-fiving. That, I believe, is the intent behind it most of the time... a silent "good job". And with krogan, well... usually anytime two or more krogan are together, they form head butting circles between waves, so a head butt from a krogan is actually a compliment (like calling you an "honorary krogan").
Now, I have heard of people meleeing at someone DURING a wave if they're encroaching on that person's "territory" or whatever. But in general, melee/heavy melee DURING a wave is probably negative... but after a wave/between waves, it's chest-bumps/fistbumps/high fives.

But then again, I'm always in a whole different mood when I play as my Krogans then when I'm playing as my Engineers. It's a whole lot more agressive, brutal and fun.
Headbutting your teammates who did great between waves is just... Krogan manners.
