And this is where I was going to talk about the indoctrination theory, but****it, can't be bother plus the people who are making the most noise are the rabid fanboys anyhow, I'm sure you already know/ have the processing power to search google the omniscient one for answers to the indoctrination theory, but basically the gist of it is that starting from the beam, Shepard is actually partly indoctrinated and is having a battle with the reapers in his or her mind. There is various evidence to suggest this, such as the child like Catalyst, the child that Shepard sees at the start and the strange dreams that he or she has, also the Reaper growls which in the books are said to only be heard when you are being indoctrinated, this is very possible since in The Arrival you pass out near a reaper device for five days.

Since finishing the game, I've come to terms with it and have hope for the future and additions that they make to it... but it will still never truly erase the overall disappointment I have with changes and cuts made to ME3, and just the overall ball dropping they did with such a great cast of characters.

Lets see, 1 completed run, two more characters within a few hours of finishing ME 3, two more nearly done with ME 2, and three more in various stages of completion in ME 1 getting ready for ME 2...

All in all, still feeling pretty doggone good about ME 3. IMHO, ME 3 is enjoyable enough to want to play more characters through the whole trilogy.

That's not to say that I don't have issues with some things in ME 3, just saying that I am enjoying the game for the entire journey; to me it has always been the journey that matters.

Me, personally, myself (just to make it clear for the haters and fanboys), I would not be happy taking a road trip to Disney World only to find out that it burned down.  I could not say "oh well, at least the trip was worth it".  If I am saying this, I am trying to find the silver lining in my disappointment.  The purpose of the trip was to go to Disney World.  While that does not discount the trip, the goal of the trip in my example and in Mass Effect 3 was and hopefully after the Extended Cut, will be the destination.  So to use my example; in my opinion, Walt Disney burned down Disney World.  This isn't saying my life is over but Disney World burned down.

I still pretend like my Shepard was the last to leave the Normandy in the Green Ending due to striking resemblance to one of the crew from a distance...

Honestly, as of now I handle ME the way I handle the Matrix series, and people in general seem to handle Deus Ex:

1) Matrix ended with the original movie, there are no sequels. Full Stop.

2) There is no "Invisible War, lol". (Oddly enough, that quote is as funny as it is simplistic :D)

Keeping that in mind, replaying ME1 - only came into contact with ME ~2 months ago - is quite a bit of fun, as will be ME2 with some modifications. Although I wish ME2 had more repeatable sandbox elements...

This approach still nags at me to some degree since most of ME3 was good to tolerable, to be had, something it doesn't have in common with the aforementioned series where entire sequels need to be ignored for the original to be enjoyable.

Oh yeah, and another thing that confused me is why people had to focus so much on the finale and complain about their choices not effecting it, even if it wasn't completely satisfactory, the entire game is what makes up for it. Mass Effect 3 is not so much a story itself as it is a story of endings, it is full to the brim of climaxes to stories which had every bit to do with your choices, there are the romances, some of them are two games and sixty hours long, this is an epic conclusion to an emotional story between Shepard and his or her lover, I can't think of one of the romances that don't fully satisfy me. Then there is the story of the Krogan. They are an ancient race with one of the most interesting back stories I've ever seen in a race, fictional or not. In ME3 you get the chance to save their entire spieces from extinction through millenia old biological genocide, as a paragon you go down in the annals of Krogan history as a Hero, otherwise you can sabotage their chances for survival and shoot your good friend in the back, and then kill Wrex in what can only be described as an epic finish to and epic arc. These are but two examples of incredible stories that have spectacular finishes which would be far more interesting and rewarding to focus on as opposed to the last five minutes to a one hundred hour long trilogy.

TL;DR? Long-ass-post = stop ****ing about something that really doesn't need to be ****ed about, and if you refuse to look at it in a positive light, then disregard it and focus on the important parts, an important step on the path to getting-the-fvck-over-it is to not make entire threads about it.

Well I started with disbelief, then I went to anger. I switched a few times between angry and depressed and now I'm at the point that I really hate Bioware. I've uninstalled all Bioware products and I'm considering burning my Mass Effect disks.

Otherwise I'm fine.

It's still on my mind. If anything that makes me realize that I'm a huge fan. If I continue to be one will depend on future releases I guess.

Pretty nice, but I'm going to wait until the dlc to import other characters or do another run through. Till than it's playing multiplayer, space marines, borderlands, skyrim, and whatever else comes up, maybe witcher 2 for rental.

Waiting for DLCs to play through all three again.

The current ending gets more stupid to me the more time passes though.

Still not mustered the enthusiasm to replay it, not once, since THAT ending. Not something I've been able to say about the other 2.

Still completely disappointed. Even with a fix for ME3's ending, the Mass Effect trilogy will never be able to recover from its wasted potential.

I tried to keep an open mind and start a new playthrough now and then. But really no go, Mars is the farthest I got without saying F..this...for what?

Worse yet, I tried to replay ME2 a couple times, which was my failsafe switch off for a while goto pastime. No go anymore either, it just seems pointless now.

Feel pretty good. Nervous to, but that's from being part of a mass effect rp group going on right now.

Wondering how much the clarification DLC will change things. If it doesn't greatly change things, I may view ME3 like I do Dragonball GT. Both had some very good ideas but were executed poorly. I'll make ME2 the end of the series for me and make up my own head cannon. At least this has given me fair warning about how DA3 may end so I don't get too invested.

I barely think about ME at all anymore. They cured me of any desire to play ANY of them (truly, I do not exaggerate). Instead, I'm playing OTHER games NOT from Bioware.

Hell, the only reason I'm popping in here at all is to see when the "extended ruined ending cut" is released so I know when to look at them on youtube. Sure as hell not going to play the game again just to see some full retard ending extension. Deus Ex: Human Revolution has taken the place of ME for me.

If you are not confused (or just plain flumoxed) then you aren't a functioning human being.  Meaning that if you have a fully functional human brain then you MUST be confused, disappointed, disgusted, etc.  Best to move on to some other game and forget ME ever happened...or do what others have done and consider ME2 to be the REAL end of the game an pretend ME3 never happened.

Except , of course, that there was no chance of such an annnoucement today, and your post history shows you've been dropping by every couple of days. Plus, there's th hanging around and posting thing.

Are you lying to us, or yourself?
