You can add me to the list of people who have had the address problem. And yep, multiple charges to the card despite the store failing them. No problem with the old site.

Mine went through just fine. I picked up a pair of 2-packs (weird to say 2 2-packs) and my order went through just fine.

When did they switch to a new site/server? Today? On a day when lithographs were coming out?

Like shooting yourself in the foot.

I think they did it some time last week.

To be fair, it was up a few days beforehand. Still was slow as sin to navigate even then before a litho release.

Here is to hoping I don't have that problem - a simple refund won't work with curency exchange fees over and over again. Image IPB

I actually was in such a rush to get my order through I almost didn't notice the 150 DA2 lithos I had put in my cart earlier today. I was checking to see how many prints they had left and forgot they were still in my cart. I was about to press the send order button when I noticed the contents of my cart totalled like 3900. Getting 150 DA2 lithos along with a 4000 bill would have really sucked. Thankfully that disaster was averted.

So, any word on people who can't use their cards because their shipping and billing addresses are different? It's T-15 minutes until the next release...

Also, sorry to hear about the site screwing over a lot of people. I liked the old stie a lot better, it was "homey."

Tempted to buy the Javik one, but the fact it doesn't say his name any this ugly black border stuff again just turns me away.

Was about to buy them, but not being signed put me off.

Still don't know why Javik is called Prothean

We'd have to ask Bioware about that ^ maybe to keep him being a squaddie a secret originally?

I'm in the UK so the GBP amount is variable plus the card issuer charges a 'transaction fee' for foreign currency conversion. In theory as these are 'pending' transactions they shouldn't go through to completion and disappear from the system. They do eat into your available credit limit though.

Unless I've missed an issue the problem is with a valid address being flagged as invalid by the THBS card processing software. So far there has been no acknowledgement of the problem being with the new site despite several people on the forum having the same issue despite succesfully placing orders in the past with the same information via the old site.

The transactions are being approved by the card issuer even when flagged as invalid by the store. I tried twice to order with my card making a change to the address on the second attempt. This also failed. The two failed attempts generated four authorised transactions in the card issuers system and set off a fraud detection call.

This whole litho issue is turning into a real PITA!

I decided to get a Post Office card to stop my usual bank from bilking me with their "foreign transaction fee" that they introduced once internet shopping started to take off; I doubt the exchange rate is great, but neither is my bank's (it is annoying when importing stuff just how many grasping hands are held out trying to claim all manner of spurious and unnecessary charges)  They're a bit of a mixed bag though, their online banking system being by far the worst I've seen, though at least it finally differentiates between charges and refunds...

Do you get the same level of 'consumer protection' with that as a UK credit card? That's one of the main reasons I stick with using a credit card.

My workaround for the THBS address issue was to use Paypal, based on the same card and address details THBS now fails, but I know that cost me 3 GBP more than a straight card purchase.

I'm not absolutely certain, to be honest.  I'd imagine so since, although it's the Bank of Ireland, they're trading with the Post Office, though in the world of banking nothing is ever straightforward.  Fortunately I haven't had the need to put them to the test; yet...

I think "Anderson" and "Prothean" will last as long as "Prototype SR-2" and "Dead Reaper". So, for those of you who have yet to buy them, I don't think you need to worry if you can't get it right now.

I don't know... The Prothean would have sold out in the first day if it was signed. But alas the marketing department wanted to get the expensive posters out too fast.

If The Prothean was signed I would have bought 2.

As it was I bought only one...
and an Anderson...
and a Dead Reaper...
and a Blightlands...
and a Garrett Hawke...

Hey when in Rome :)

I liked the Anderson poster, though at risk of labouring the point, the lack of a signature felt cheap.

That or if they have a Liara; I mean come on, she's the only squad member who was playable in all three installments that hasn't had one yet.:alien:

I was quite tired and sleep deprived when I purchased 'Aria'.... -_-

....

... I thought I was buying Liara :innocent:

Had a sort of WTF moment when I opened up my package.:mellow::pinched:

How long have people been screaming for Ash and Kaidan? I'd buy those even if they weren't signed.
