I started using Chaos Placeables by Chaos_Theocrat. However, the latest 1.8 version conflicts with the SoZ 2da file.
There is a fix on the Vault, which I downloaded, but have not figured out how to get it working.
http://nwvault.ign.c...l.Detail&id=537
Following the instructions, I have Chaos Placeables installed and associated the Hak to the module I'm working on.
Then it says to remove the 2da files from the hak. Does that mean I should view the placeables 2da in the toolset, and delete those lines that were created by the hak? Or am I supposed to use a hak editor to open the hak itself?
Once this step is done, it looks like it is just a matter of dropping the SoZ fix files into the Override folder, although I wonder if it would work from the campaign folder.
Does anyone have any experience with this hak and getting it to work with SOZ?
Thanks!

You'll have to extract the 2DA from the HAK, using something like NWNPacker. You'd also have to extract the SoZ version of the 2DA from the 'data' files in the NWN2 installation directory.
Then you could rename the HAK version of the 2DA slightly (such as 'placeables1.2da'), put it (and the SoZ version) in the override folder, then you can open both of them in the toolset 2DA editor. Find the Chaos Placeables lines, copy them, and paste them into the SoZ copy.
You may not be able to use the original Chaos Placeables line numbers though, in which case you'll have to extract and edit any blueprints in the HAK so they point at your new line numbers.

Thank you, DannJ, for pointing me toward the NWN Packer. I've never messed around editing haks. This is a great utility!
I did like you said, the only difference is, I had to copy the SoZ 2da lines into the Hak 2da that came with Chaos Placeables. That did the trick.
Back to building!
