Just one can't fix this mess.

But the Normandy crew getting rescued, and reuniting with Shepard in the one ending they survive in, would at least make the game replayable. They can even add in a line about the planet being ideal for a real colony to fix the stargazer scene at the end too.

It'd be the barest minimum needed to make the end palatable for me. It'd still be one of the worst endings in gaming history, but that's likely to be true no matter what they do, since they're not actually taking anything away, just polishing the turd.

I agree there- reuniting would make the game series replayable.  I can't even bring myself to finish my Miranda LI playthrough, or start one with a FemShep and Traynor despite adoring her... It's like, what's the point?  I do some multiplayer, but mostly so that I can promote the characters to single player to get higher EMS scores; if you work enough, you can make up that 300 or so points to make it 4000 with four level 20 characters promoted.

Other than something to explain the Normandy crash/magical teleporting squadmates thing, I'd like to see a scene (or just a still) of all my squadmates who survived through all three games looking out over the wreckage of London. They don't have to speak or move, I just want them there as a super group for a split second...

A conversation/show down with Harbinger.

All they need is Shepard's VA and Harbinger's VA to pull it off. Granted it won't be the same as it would have been if it was originally in the game, but anything that gives Harbinger his dues is good enough in my eyes.

Just listen to this theme, one more time, and TELL ME, you WOULDN'T want one more bad ass talk with Harbinger?

Are showing them crying over Shepard's body and what not then going in to how things were changed for the better or for the worst after the battle scenes ended. Also have the LI saying it or having Sheppard say it if he's alive.


I'll be happy with that ending!

as to the OP, since I dislike all the LIs on principle (for precisely the reasons you can see in this thread--everyone wants their own halmark movie at the end), I'd agree that the assets in action would be good--and succeeding or failing depending on actions and score (no MP influence, either) would be best. If Shep dies, survivors have a memorial a la Fable 3 (but better), if he lives, a short of a brief post mission reunion at a reasonable location on the planet.
