As much improved as AC2 was and with all the faults. Assassin's Creed will be, forever and always, my favorite out of the series. With the best song out of all of the soundtrack(IMO).

Been playing Age of Wonders III, which had been sitting unplayed since the summer sale. I still remember the day I checked it out on the Steam store page; one of the tags for it was "Great Soundtrack." I thought at the time; "how great can it be?"
Turns out, pretty great. Very, very glad I bought the Deluxe Edition, because there's almost not a single bad track in the OST. Here's one of my favourite:
Oh, and the game's really good too. Sorta Civilization V + Heroes of Might & Magic with a little Disciples sprinkled in.

More from the excellent Age of Wonders III soundtrack. For me, every great soundtrack has that one "Wow" track; the track which listening to it made me say "Wow, this game has a great soundtrack." For AoWIII, this is that "Wow" track:
In particular, I was impressed by 1:58 onwards. Normally, when composers are asked to do a soundtrack for a fantasy game, you would expect them to play it safe with medieval-sounding strings and hand drums, with a little orchestral thrown in. So I was quite shocked to hear drum kit and a little electric guitar in this track. Yet somehow, this guy made it all work.
