Saw dis in my feed today
Great companion to studying, I think. Simple enough that I can hum along but not catchy enough that I get distracted.
Possibly put this one here before...

Yep, damn good games (or the first three are anyway). I hope the new one can live up to the hype.
**** YEAH -- This is my favorite track from SH2. Yamaoka ftw. Why did Konami ruin, Silent Hill, greengoron? Why did they disband TeamSilent? Why? WHYYYY?!Yep, damn good games (or the first three are anyway). I hope the new one can live up to the hype.

Lol! I was literally just listening to this track before you posted it.
Anyway I did not like SH4 myself. And after SH4 failed to live up to expectations in general I guess Konami decided to let Team Silent go, and handed the franchise over to Western developers for some reason. Shame on them.
I've been playing the P.T teaser and I definitely commend its approach for atmosphere. What I don't hope to find in KojiPro's Silent (Hills?) game is another Amnesia inspired mess, like most indie 'horror' games nowadays. P.T while being good just didn't quite convince me that it could be a Silent Hill game, not quite. Amnesia is fine, it's alright, it's got some neat atmosphere and good Lovecraftian horror going for it, held back by repetitive level-design and slowly predictability in its horrific moments, as you play the game you literally tell when the monster is gonna show up -- It's at that point where it feels like its being summoned by the auto-save function and it all becomes obtuse and dull. Also I'd prefer it to be third-person and definitely nothing like Homecoming.Lol! I was literally just listening to this track before you posted it.

I'll see for myself how SH4 is doing, but I think it's solid enough for what I've been playing so far. The gameplay can be a bit dodgy though.
Yeah that was always a negative of Amnesia. There was no real randomness to the monsters, they were all scripted to appear and disappear (they shouldn't have disappeared at all IMHO - leave them to continually scare and threaten the player or at least reappear randomly) at certain points. I was still scared as hell on my first playthrough though.
The problem with Silent Hill 4 for me was not the story or overall concept but the wonky controls (even by SH standards) and same few really annoying monsters following you around the entire game. It could've been much better executed.
Obligatory awesome Silent Hill track:

Oh btw, I dunno if you saw this or not but this is a "concept movie" of Silent Hills they released at TGS earlier this year. It has more of a traditional Silent Hill feel to me so I count it as a good sign.
