I wince everytime a geth player joins my matches. I feel bad about placing kick votes on anyone, but cmon guys you gotta know that you have jack squat for health. After your shields are gone, you are basically near dead, moreso than any other class. So yaknow, maybe practice in bronze a bit before moving up.

I've only played one or two matches with a geth unit that actually contributed much. What do you guys thinik? Are you seeing a lot of bad geth players. I know the class is new and all, but damn. I think geth in general are a recipe for disaster when applied to how the general pub plays anyway. With the lower health and the tendancy of pub players to run off and do whatever. It's a graveyard out there.

Ways to get better playing geth (or any class): 

Practice
Look up a guide on the forums
More practice with your new build
Stop dying all the time

I first place reliably as both geth classes in silver but stay away from it in gold. Due to above^^^ but i think you're just experiencing the learning curve for new classes.

Well especially with Hunter Mode, you really do have to be more careful. I guess alot of people are a little more careless after playing tougher characters, but it takes time to get used too.
Personally I like playing the glass cannon role.

hmm.. shltomlee you have earned a new achievement. You have annoyed me. It take a bunch to do that.

I play GI on B & S and I hardly ever die, and typically rock the scoreboard. I think a better way of stating it would have been to say that GI's are not a great low-level PC. After level 10 they get better because they have enough power to make up for it.

I'm only N7 ~130 because I can only play when my infant son lets me, that doesn't stop me from rocking or being a team player.

No no, you got me all wrong. I like playing geth units. I can play them pretty well. And I think the class is a good addition. I'm saying that what I'm seeing is a lot of bad geth play right now. Not an attack on the class at all. Reading comprehension not being taught in skewl anymore I guess.

i just did a few 4-geth engineer gold runs (edit: with randoms) and we ddnt have to use one consumable. infinite shields and big tech and geth shotgun dmg. claymore infiltrator one-shotting brutes and ravagers is pretty fun too.

Maybe because people usually go to school instead?

Geth is fine. Smart players won't go out and rambo because of their low health. Plus the heavy melee doesn't help when you're being shot at.

Plus I point to exhibit A) the Drell. They're just as fragile as the Geth.

In short, don't kick all Geth just because of their stats or you're afraid of the player behind them. Bad players are going to play bad no matter what class they are; doesn't contribute to the overall quality of the class itself.

I share OP's frustration at Geth players that have no idea how squishy they are (especially if they're permanently in Hunter Mode).

That said, my main class is a Geth infiltrator and I can merrily carry a team through silver. In my opinion they are one of the better classes. VERY damage focused, but if you're careful that's no bad thing.

so you'r applying the vangaurd treatment to geth players now? (slow clapping)

people that suck will allway's suck no matter what the class.
my suggestion to you, give them longer time for people to adapt for the low health/high shield thing longer (like another 2 weeks) before just randomly kicking them, because there still alot off people out there that haven't or just have gotten their geth.
took myself half a match to get used to it, i will admit that much, but for the love off god have some patience.

claymore infiltrator rambo all day =-D. one shot any enemy besides atlas/banshee/prime plus can go invisible and see through walls and run supar fast. e z
