I like the geth and they have their strengths and weaknesses.

The hunter mode is INVALUABLE for defending teammates because you can see phantoms and other dangerous enemies behind cover without having to expose yourself.

A geth with mac level armor piercing mod equipped to any weapon+hunter mode can save so many lives.  My first match I did abominably playing my new geth.  Then the next match I grabbed my valiant with rank 5 piercing mod and pretty much killed every phantom that got close with impunity since I can fire through cover and see them.

I certainly don't think geth are the strongest, but they aren't weak by any means either.

And ya, geth with geth weapons hit hard.

The only issue I have with players playing Geth are the ones with standard Geth coloration. I’m generally trigger happy in a match anyways and having a Geth or two in the group that look like the other Geth can get distracting. Good thing you cant do any damage to other players.

By the way same thing with Cerberus colors for human classes.

Well especially with Hunter Mode, you really do have to be more careful. I guess alot of people are a little more careless after playing tougher characters, but it takes time to get used too.
Personally I like playing the glass cannon role. 

There is a fairly easy way to alleviate the "Glass" part of that for Geth infiltrators. I turn Hunter mode on so I can alert my allies as to the approach
vectors of High-risk enemies (Phantoms, Atlases, Banshees, Brutes, Ravagers) and less threatening, but but notably annoying ones (Combat engineers, marauders), then turn it back off to take many of those down with Widow 3 Extended Barrel V Cloakshots. Should one of the smaller of those types escape the sight of my team, I use HM to determine where it went. Hunter Mode is a lot more of a team support ability (not unlike Geth Turret or Biotic Sphere) than people think. =) And with over 1200 shields thanks to Advanced Hardware, I can hold my own with My widow and AR when not doing so.

Geth is widely regarded as being almost overpowered. Why don't you let one play and see for yourself. Or better yet try it yourself.

Also I'm going to be blunt when I say that it rather rude to kick based on character build. You should only kick if they're AFK or low lvl gold and won't listen when try to explain over the mic. Otherwise go find another game and let them play and decide their own play style without your insight.

They're not overpowered in my games. They get pwned. And I have to revive them a million times. I know there are some good players with them. I'm not bad myself, but I keep getting the bad ones in my matches.
