I use my geth to farm gold. The GI is a very reliable DPSer. Meat and potatoes, just keep shooting. It's so simple to build and play.

Well that's really great. If you could point me in the direction of people who play like that instead of dying on round 2, I'd be grateful.  

The two are not mutually exclusive. Geth are fragile, so sometimes they do die, even on early rounds. I've died on round one to grenades, because I couldn't dodge far enough away due to where it was thrown or what was in my way, but I've also carried matches with the same character (geth engineer). Geth infiltrator melee build is a high-risk high-reward build that tends to die frequently, but contributes a lot ot the team.

I usually get 1st or 2nd on my team in Gold (usually first). Geth Engineer has the turret to replenish shields, and infiltrator can run away with cloak. Also, it's better for mid-long range (although I use mine at all ranges) due to lower health. Striker also works amazingly with Hunter Mode on, and mine isn't even specced for rapid fire.

You're probably right. I was having some serious bad luck with teamates. Seems like almost every game there's one who quits or dc's or just dies all the time.

People also often forget to realise that Geth shine in specific roles. You just need to use them properly so their squishiness doesn't handicap you. They aren't Chuck Norris.

Geth engineers have shield buffing which makes you an invaluable teammate for tight situations, and the turret with flamethrower allows you to control exactly where aggro goes. GE's are amazing teammates on Gold.

Geth infiltrators with Hunter mode and a Javelin can practically ignore walls, taking out hidden enemies before they become a problem, while teammates can deal with the visible ones. Perfect for watching your teams' back. Just an example.

Oh. Rant. Why do people always talk about how they get 1st place in the team score list?  An Infiltrator specced for a long cloak that plays medic and objective-getter might get no points for kills, but is probably the MVP. Points. Don't. Matter. It doesn't matter if "My Geth gets 1st place on the score list." Hell, Vanguards often get first place, and look how much people love them? *cough*

The score is more to indicate that you aren't the dead weight of a squad in a public match. You do get points for reviving and objectives, just not as many. I don't care if I am first, but if I say I routinely come in 1st/2nd on bronze/silver, you can expect that I am a decent player, even with my ~130 N7 rating.

It is imperfect, but it is something to benchmark against.

Yep.

Usually I only die in the first 3 waves because of the full auto guns that the basic troops have that ignore the .5 bar invincibility gate.

After it starts sending Primes/Atlases/Brutes I hardly ever go down since they shoot so slowly.

When I can run up and clear a room of enemies in less than 6 seconds then I am a valuable asset no matter what.

So man up and revive me if I go down on round 2 because some BS grenade and shut up about me being bad at the game even though I will end up reviving you 5x more later on and outscore you by at least 60,000.

When a Geth goes down people act like they don't know how to play at all, yet when a Krogan with 5 times the health goes down all of the sudden it's okay?

seriously though a Geth character is no more squishy than a Drell.... and Geth dont have the wondrous sound glitch. yes geth are squishy. takes a little getting used to. but kicking them BECAUSE they are geth? thats just as bacd as kicking someone on bronze/ silver because their "N7rank is under 100"

I actually like the Geth characters more. they require a bit more tact than the other classes

Actually I and others as Geth have often been the last standing. Their tremendous speed allows them to sprint away from killzones and being able to see where everyone is doesn't hurt. Although yes when I first started I was embarrassingly dropped repeatedly by swarmers I probably ran into. With the abysmal health and hunter vision you're often wondering just what killed you. Before playing Geth I pretty much ignored swarmers. I also just learned that ravager acid smarts, even when they're dead.

Krogans die more, even the really good players.

3 geth Engineers one Geth Infiltrator... just ROCKED the Reapers.

there is a bit of a learning curve, but Hunter mode gives a lot of advantages for that cut to shields.  Just like the Krogan and Asari you have to adjust to the character before you start rocking like a hard frog.

Verdict:  There is nothing wrong with Geth.

I don't really have any problems keeping my geth alive even with hunter mode running all the time. I guess it just comes from playing a drell adept so much. I'm used to not having much protection.

This is one of the most ignorant threads I have ever seen on this forum. ( and thats saying alot) Geth Engineer and Geth Infiltraitor are perhaps the two best classes in the game. I will beat your score with either. I wince every time I see a Krogan (like in your picture) because usually they have no idea what they are doing. Stupid people are attracted to Krogan and Vanguards like flys. Anyway, you have no idea what you are talking about.
