The only things geth fears are enemies with rapid fire weapons.

And enemies that interrupt my reload cycle.

I wince everytime a geth player joins my matches. I feel bad about placing kick votes on anyone, but cmon guys you gotta know that you have jack squat for health. After your shields are gone, you are basically near dead, moreso than any other class. So yaknow, maybe practice in bronze a bit before moving up.

This unit questions your gender preferences.

This unit is currently overclocked to compensate for a lack of clear data in this thread of posted opinions and anecdotes..

Usually I only die in the first 3 waves because of the full auto guns that the basic troops have that ignore the .5 bar invincibility gate.

Ah, so is THAT it?

I almost always die at least once, often several times, wave 3 and earlier. I attributed it to just getting my bearings on the map/enemy/difficulty level/game in general, depending on if I was playing a different one before or just came back from a break or something.

That might be partially it, but it would make sense if its the nade-spamming rapid-firing basic troops that get me...

But about wave 4 and on, I'm sure my teammates who were previously thinking "crap, we'll have to carry this noob." as I kept dying rather quickly change their tunes.

Talking about my GI of course. With my GE, it's more... teammates probably don't notice me or are occasionally thankful for my revives/turret heals/tech bursts, but then think they carried my noob ass when we get to the score screen and see I was in last place by a significant margin. >.> Dunno how people top scoreboards with engineers of any sort. Do I just play them more as support than the average joe?

Regardless. OP has been thoroughly debunked. I have no real input.

Yep... annoying little buggers will always kill you... especially the swarmers. :pinched:

Engineers are typically for support, but I spec'd mine out of Overlaod and made him into a mega damage dealer with Geth weapons. (Geth SMG X Both Ammo Mods + SMG Rail III + AP Ammo III = Dead Atlases.)

Basically I made him into what I imagine the Soldier will be like... minus the Defense Matrix.

Hunter Mode + Sniper Rifle + Piercing = pwnt
Hunter Mode + (Black) Widow = pwnt

Just don't get shot, and disable Hunter Mode whenever your view isn't obstructed.
