No, you just assume I'm being hostile to a certain class. I'm not. Read and use that lump four feet above your ass.

Once you are out of bronze, health doesn't matter because one hit drops your shields and the second one kills you anyhow. Plus, you still have more shields than Drell do. People who run off and do not work as a team will get you killed no matter what class you play, so that is not much of an argument. There is definately a time to turn off hunter mode, though, to cut back on random deaths, but honestly seeing enemies comming around a corner has saved me a lot more than the loss of shields has done me in.

And, really, scores are a poor indicator of contribution to a group. If a Geth Engineer is overloading large groups for your easy disposal or dropping his turret as a distraction to cover your movements, he is not really racking up points but you sure as hell would notice if he was not around.

Dear Diary,

Today, someone posted an opinion contrary to mine.  Posted about it in new post.

Well especially with Hunter Mode, you really do have to be more careful. I guess alot of people are a little more careless after playing tougher characters

Thank you for the reasonable response. That makes sense.

I never invest in Hunter Mode for my Engineer and I can't think of a reason why anybody should.

Your problem (as is everybody's on this forum who has complained about specific classes) is with bad players, not bad classes.

so you'r applying the vangaurd treatment to geth players now? (slow clapping)

people that suck will allway's suck no matter what the class.
my suggestion to you, give them longer time for people to adapt for the low health/high shield thing longer (like another 2 weeks) before just randomly kicking them, because there still alot off people out there that haven't or just have gotten their geth.
took myself half a match to get used to it, i will admit that much, but for the love off god have some patience.

Slow clapping?

It's more pronounced with this class. That's my whole point. In pub games anyway.

Geth classes are the strongest in the game.

Aaand here we have a guy who had never met a krogan vanguard.

But yeah, the Geth are pretty strong if handled properly, I met some really good players who could exploit their fetatures.

I wince everytime a geth player joins my matches. I feel bad about placing kick votes on anyone, but cmon guys you gotta know that you have jack squat for health. After your shields are gone, you are basically near dead, moreso than any other class. So yaknow, maybe practice in bronze a bit before moving up.

I've only played one or two matches with a geth unit that actually contributed much. What do you guys thinik? Are you seeing a lot of bad geth players. I know the class is new and all, but damn. I think geth in general are a recipe for disaster when applied to how the general pub plays anyway. With the lower health and the tendancy of pub players to run off and do whatever. It's a graveyard out there.

Ways to get better playing geth (or any class):

Practice
Look up a guide on the forums
More practice with your new build
Stop dying all the time
....

What about that is nice about the geth class?  Again.  OP, you are a flip flopper with no backbone.

Krogan Vanguard is physically strongest.  But I would rather have a Gengineer or Ginfiltrator on Gold over a Battlemaster.  It's risky to play close up on Gold.

HEY!

Don't diss the Krogan vanguard. He'll eat all other classes alive. If handled correctly.

Geth players should realise one important thing:

Geth weapons are your friend - particularly the Geth Pulse Rifle.

With the correct upgrades to Hunter Mode, it's super-accurate, and'll even tear through Brutes like tissue paper.

I rock an Engineer with GPR/Geth Plasma SMG, and it's a stupidly effective build. Best not to treat it like an Engineer class, and instead, think of it as a 'Geth Trooper', since you'll end up doing a lot of machine-gunning, and less 'support', unlike the traditional Engineer role.

Redirect that comment towards yourself for completely failing in reading comprehension.  His complaint is the people playing Geth in his lobbies aren't using a playstyle that emphasizes reducing damage and thus die frequently, necessitating frequent rezes/chain rezes/causing wipes.

Exactly, stay in cover, use your turrets, you're not a tank.

I rock a normal support engineer without investing in Hunter mode and it's equally effective. :) (Healing turret + flamethrower FTW)

Because if I'm not in hunter mode, I feel like I'm playing a human in a geth costume.  Also, if you don't have another geth on your team, hunter mode can be a life saver on gold.  Even if they don't talk, with GPS, overload, and a turret, you can solo small flanking groups on your own.  Without the distance upgrade though, I agree, it's totally useless on most of the maps from a gameply perspective.

I tank with my Geth Engineer in Bronze. It's heavy melee is rediculous.
