Yes, for the fact that it's probably going to be a bad player behind that class. Way to take things out of context. I've played I don't know how many matches today with geth players that do not take cover when appropriate, don't use their powers, have terrible load-outs. It's great that you guys can play geth units, I'd like to play with YOU instead of  what I've been experiencing. And apparently other people have noticed this as well.

I know. With chain overload. A shield restoring turret. A mode that let's you see through walls, run faster, and do more damage.....

After your shields are gone, you are basically near dead, moreso than any other class. So yaknow, maybe practice in bronze a bit before moving up.

I've only played one or two matches with a geth unit that actually contributed much. What do you guys thinik? Are you seeing a lot of bad geth players. I know the class is new and all, but damn. I think geth in general are a recipe for disaster when applied to how the general pub plays anyway. With the lower health and the tendancy of pub players to run off and do whatever. It's a graveyard out there.

Ways to get better playing geth (or any class): 

Practice
Look up a guide on the forums
More practice with your new build
Stop dying all the time
....

I thought you were implying all geth should play bronze (which is nonsense) until I read the last bit. The thing is that the geth characters have some of the highest damage output in the game, but this comes at the cost of making them glass cannons. I personally main the geth infiltrator for gold with a gps proxy build and get top score almost every time. The damage is insane. That said I've played with some poor geth players (or really reckless ones like the melee spec ones) that I find I have to constantly rez. At least as an infiltrator, your shields and health don't really matter as long as you play smart.

No. A defense focused class like an Asari Justicar with 80% damage reduction, or a Sentinel with maxed Tech Armor working with said Justicar can tank pretty much everything on silver. Krogan Vanguards are also ridiculously hard to kill on silver if the player using the KV is even somewhat inteligent. All of the above also work somewhat effectively on gold, especially if you use a Cyclonic Modulator III. Bonus health and damage reduction goes a long way when you have to draw aggro from multiple enemies at once. (i.e. wave 10 hack objective)

I tank with my Geth Engineer in Bronze. It's heavy melee is rediculous.

Anything is a tank in bronze. I saw a Geth engineer go down twice per round starting at wave 1 in silver because he kept running at the enemies like he was a Krogan.

I stopped picking him up after wave 5.

I don't have a problem with anyone playing in Bronze.

But talking about something that works in Bronze is pointless.  Everything tanks in Bronze.  Everything can one shot something in Bronze.  It's just not relevant to anything but Bronze.

Geth Engineer is bad for melee.  Infiltrator on the other hand is completely OP if done right.

Ok, thats two classes with two talents specced toward damage reduction, in both cases. Now try standing out in the open with the other 28 classes on Gold and tell me what happens. Fitness only matters for classes that operate at close range or for surviving damage over time effects. Its always the first skill people chop points out of for a reason.  Dodging and cover are the only defense of consequence on gold for the classes witout DR talents.

Now when we first did that we thought it was impressive.  Now we just lol through them.  We don't even bother bringing equipment anymore, it's not even a challenge.

There's another thread on here just today that states that hunter mode is useless. I'm telling you there's an entire ocean of people who don't know how to play and SHOULD go back to bronze and practice with geth before moving up.
